It Shall Never Happen

It was the summer.
Did it feel weird away from her? Yes
But...
Something drew me to her
Something made me think of her more and more
God, I loved her
Why?
Why did I love her?
I don't know.
Her humor? The way she gives me attention? Her hair? Her dazzling blue eyes?
I loved her.. I don't know why.—
Something about her gave me butterflies.
Something about her made me addicted.
Something about her made me want to make her mine.
I wanted her and only her.
—That.. or I was being a hopeless romantic, once again.

It was summer, it was hot. It was only two weeks until I could see her once more.
Two more weeks, then I could see her beautiful face, hear her voice through something other than the phone.
I want her..

It was a painstaking two weeks.
It was hot. I was quite busy.
But.. most importantly, I get to see you now.
You.. are amazing.

Two weeks passed day by day and finally, it was time. Time for school once more.
I came early that day, but not too early for the building to be empty.
I sat on the small set of bleachers, wet from the rain the previous night.
I waited for her to come, with a few other friends who came early. I waited to see her face smiling back at me.
I waited.. 8:45am.
Here she is, driving in her car.
She steps out, i can see her walking.
My heart beats as she inches closer.. and closer.
I give her a hug, she gives me a kiss.
A kiss...
A kiss?
Yes, a kiss.
It caught me by surprise..
