"I'm sorry, Lily, but I need to take this call. It's work-related," Luca explained apologetically.

Lily nodded, a smile playing on her lips. "Of course, Luca. Take the call. We can continue our conversation later."

Luca stood up, taking a step towards Lily. In that moment, a surge of tenderness washed over him, and he gently lifted her into his arms. Lily looked up at him, her eyes filled with surprise and delight.

"What are you doing, Luca?" she asked, her voice a mixture of amusement and curiosity.

With a mischievous grin, Luca replied, "I thought I'd give you a little surprise. I'm taking you to your bathroom so you can relax and enjoy a warm shower while I take this call."

Lily's heart fluttered at the sweet gesture, feeling a rush of excitement and gratitude. "You really know how to make a girl feel special, Luca."

Carrying her with ease, Luca made his way to the bathroom attached to Lily's room. He gently placed her on her feet near the shower and turned the knobs, adjusting the temperature to a warm and inviting level. The sound of running water filled the room, creating a soothing ambiance.

Just as Luca was about to step out to take his call, he paused, his eyes filled with regret. "I'm sorry, Lily. I wish I could stay and join you, but this call is urgent. I promise I'll be back as soon as I can."

Lily reached out and touched Luca's arm, understanding the demands of his responsibilities. "It's okay, Luca. I appreciate the effort and thoughtfulness. Take your call. We'll have plenty of time together."

With a grateful smile, Luca nodded and stepped out of the bathroom, closing the door behind him. Lily stepped into the warm shower, feeling the water cascade over her, soothing her body and soul. She couldn't help but smile at the thoughtfulness and care Luca had shown her.

Luca stepped out of Lily's bathroom, his heart heavy with the weight of the urgent call he had to take. As he walked down the hallway, he could still hear the sound of running water, a reminder of the peaceful moment he had created for Lily. But his mind was now consumed by the pressing matters at hand.

Making his way to a dimly lit warehouse, Luca's eyes scanned the scene in front of him. Tall, semi-muscular men loomed over a small figure who was beaten and bruised. The sight filled Luca with a mix of anger and concern.

He approached the group, his voice laced with authority. "What's going on here? Who did this to him?"

One of the men, a menacing figure with a scar across his cheek, sneered at Luca. "None of your business. We're just dealing with our own problems."
