I wake up to the song 'happy' but since it's Monday I'm not really happy. I throw on sweats and an oversize t-shirt and go to school. When I get there Hunter finds me first.
"Hey! Dusty!" I turn to find Hunter waving me over. That's never a good sign. Plus I'm in sweats and a baggy t-shirt so I'm a little embarrassed. I approach him.
"Hey. Wassup?" I say readjusting my shoulder bag.
"Hey, are you and Jorge going to Winter Formal together?" he asks his face getting serious.
"Uhhmm... Well no one has asked me yet..." I say looking at my feet. Hunter touches my cheek then slides his hand under my chin, leans down, and kisses me. I'm shocked, I never thought one day I would be kissing Hunter. He pulls away but his hand lingers. He smiles. He turns to say something to one of his friends. Then he pulls a soccer ball out of his friend's backpack. Hunter hands it to me.
"Say it out loud," Hunter says stuffing his hands in his pockets. I look down at the ball, one brow up questioning him."
Dusty, will you kick it at Winter Formal with me?" I almost began to cry as I'm reading it, Hunter hands, me a bouquet of roses.
"Will you? Please?" Hunter asks, those green eyes pleading.
"Yes," I whisper. Hunter hugs me pulling me off the ground. I giggle. He sets me down and kisses me again. The bell rings and we run off to our classes.
I smile the entire day but at lunch I couldn't find Jorge. I asked Enrique if he by chance had seen him.
"Yeah in third period, but he seemed pretty ticked off about something. He wouldn't say what it was though," he says shrugging. "Maybe he just went out to lunch today."I spend the rest of lunch looking for him but gave up after 4o minutes of searching.
Dusty: where r u?
Jorge: needed to take a breather
