Chapter 17: Together forever ❤️

Sujal stormed off from there leaving Veena alone standing there. His words echoed in her ears, his indifference towards her, his built up anger and disappointment with her, everything was visible to her. She hung her head low in sadness and disappointment with herself, without anything she could do, she left the place.

On the other hand, Sujal stormed towards his car and kept all his purchases inside. He opened to sit on the driver's seat when he saw his mother stopping an auto 🛺 for taking her back home. He looked at her miserable state, and wondered 🤔 💭

Sujal: Kitne jaldi time beet jaata hai na..kisi din mai iss haal me tha, aur aaj aap iss haal me ho..jiss din mere paas kuch nahi tha tab kisi ne sath nahi diya mera, bas ek Naina hi thi jisne mujhpar apna trust rakha, uss time se aaj tak maine itna toh seekh hi liya hai ki woh kahawat ek dum sach hai ki you reap what you sow....ab mere zindagi me na aapki, na hi aapke prestigious family ki, ya kisi member ki jagah baaki hai, mujhe kisi bhi member se na koi naata hai aur na hi koi rishta, jo bhi tha ab woh sab khatam..ek bas aap hi thi jisse mujhe thoda bohot lagaav tha par aapko toh apna beta tab dikhe na jab aap apna patni dharm ko side rakh ke ek maa ke dharm ko dekhti..aaj tak jo bhi sab hua, maine aapko kabhi kuch nahi kaha tha, aapki har baat maani, par ab aur nahi..ab mere life ki ek nayi shuruwat hone wali hai, aur iss naye shuruwat me kisi bhi Garewal ki koi jagah nahi hai..this is my final goodbye..

With this he drove to the direction of his home leaving his mother and his past behind heading for a new future and life with his dearest Naina.

Sujal returned back home, he looked a little happy and felt light and less burdened after making sure his past life mattered nothing to him. He set everything up to suprise Naina, her joda, her jewelry, everything was set up. He only waited for Naina to return home and see everything he prepared.

It was almost dinner time when Naina returned. Sujal opened the door and pulled Naina into his arms embrace.

Naina: Su..Sujal..kya kar rahe ho?

Sujal: Naina..I missed you..itna kya time laga diya tumne! Kab se wait kar raha hu tumhara!

Naina: Accha ji! Itna bhi wait nahi kar sakte kya mera! Abhi se yeh haal hai toh aage jaa ke kya hoga tumhara?!

Sujal: Accha baba! Ab andar chalo!! Tumhare liye ek suprise tayar kar ke rakha hai maine!

Naina: Suprise?! Sujal ab andar aane bhi do na!! I want to see kya suprise tayar kiya hai tumne mere liye!!

Sujal: Ha, chalo chalo!! I'm sure tumhe accha lagega!!

Sujal brought Naina inside the house and closed her eyes with his hands making sure to cover her eyes well. He opened her eyes infront of the entire arrangement. Naina was stunned seeing everything! She turned back and kissed him on his cheek.

Naina: Thank you Sujal!!

Sujal: Jab tak tumhe accha lage, I'm happy with anything and everything! Chalo ab, let's have dinner!

Naina and Sujal went ahead to have their dinner. They talked while having their dinner, Sujal told her everything that happened today and how he got his mother's jewelry for her to wear. Naina was proud of Sujal for standing up for himself but she felt a little sad for Veena.

It was their big day, their wedding day, the day they both had been looking forward to. Naina was all ready with all her jewelry, makeup and joda. On the other hand, Sujal was all ready wearing his sherwani and sehra. They had decorated the house like a bride.

The baaraatis were about to reach the house, Naina got a knock on the door, it was Pooja.

Naina: Pooja! Aa gaye kya woh log?

She ran near the window to get a glance at Sujal but found no one there.

Pooja: Oye meri fudakti hui dulhaniya! Tera ranjha aa raha hai! Thoda sabar rakh! Abhi toh koi aaya hai tujhse milne, koi lady hai..bol rahi hai ki milna bohot important hai..

Naina: Oh aisa kya..le aa unhe yaha..

Pooja left to soon return with the lady. Naina's guess was correct, it was indeed Veena who had come to meet Naina. Naina asked Veena to sit down on the bed while she sat on the chair.

Naina: Auntie aap..kya baat hai aap yaha kaise? Koi kaam tha kya?

Veena: Naina..mai jaanti hu ki Sujal mujhse bohot naaraz hai..aur meri galti bhi hai, usse poora haq hai mujhse naaraz rehne ka..woh mujhse baat tak nahi kar raha..meri dil ki yeh hi iccha thi ki mai tum dono ki shaadi dekhu..please Naina..please..mai tumhare saamne hath jodti hu, please mujhe dooor se hi tum dono ki shaadi dekhne do..mujhe mere bacche ki nayi shuruwat dekhne do..

Naina: Yeh aap kya kar rahi hai?! Bas kijiye! Aap aise mat kijiye..aap dekhna chahti hai toh aap dekhiye..par Sujal aapse ya Garewal parivaar ke kisi bhi member se nahi milna chahta, isiliye please aap dooor se dekh sakti hai..mai nahi chahti ki Sujal aapko itne acche din me bhi baate sunaye..

Veena: thank you Naina beta! Thank you! Mai tumhara yeh ehsaan kabhi nahi bhoolungi!

Veena left the room and found a good hiding spot to be in to witness the marriage. Soon the baaraatis came and the bride and the groom were were sitting on the mandap. When all the vidhi of marriage ever finished and the groom and the bride stood up after taking the aashirwad of the parents and elders, Sujal whisper..

Sujal: Hummare naye zindagi ki shuruwat ki hardik shubhkamnaye Mrs. Naina Garewal..

Naina: Aapko bhi pati dev..

They both blushed. All of their friends gathered around and the joote chori ritual of marriage took place. Veena witnessed it all from a distance. She smiled and a tear escaped her eyes.

Veena: Sujal..tumne apne zindagi me bohot kuch saha..bohot kuch jo tumne mere wajah se saha unn sab ke liye mujhe maaf kar dena beta..aaj tumhari shaadi ho gayi hai Naina se..aur mujhe poora wishvas hai ki tum usse acche se khush rakhoge..mujhe meri saza mil rahi hai beta..apne sabse pyare aur ladle bete ki shaadi me na reh paane ki saza, usme participate na kar paane ki saza..apni iss abhagi maa ko maaf kar dena mere bacche..mai bhagwan se dua karti hu ki tum dono humesha humesha ke liye khush raho..kabhi bhi koi bhi problem na aaye tum dono ke beech me..aur tumhare baccho ko tum acche se bada karo, aur ho sa ke toh hummare baare me kabhi mat batana beta, hum uss layak nahi ki tum dono ke bacche humme jaane..humesha humesha khush rehna mere baccho..

Whispering this she left the wedding place tearing and crying to herself. And Sujal and Naina started on their new life together for ever.
