2. Arranged Marriage (End)

For the sake of having something authentic to show in the public, especially to those journalists who took importance to detail and loved exposing a celeb to ruin their lives, Yan Xin had his nape bitten and marked by Liu Zheng during their first ever spring night when Yan Xin had been in heat, thoroughly abolishing his right to love someone else who he might fall for someday, and becoming shackled with an Alpha who he just met for a month.

As expected, although Yan Xin had led his entire life treating every occurrence in his daily life with indifference, he certainly hasn't forgotten the fact that he's an Omega, and that being permanently marked by an Alpha he barely knows meant that he will be spending the rest of his life married and entangled with this person.

These thoughts still caused a ripple in Yan Xin's evermore stoic heart, no matter what. Although he never planned on marrying anyone in the future, every one of his 'first' experiences simultaneously occurred in a situation that were all out of his ideals, and this still left a bad taste to him.

But what could he do? Even if his parents had always annoyed him for their constant meddling, he still loved them, if it were not for their love, care and meticulous teaching he would have not known how to successfully establish a business on his own. Acquiescing to their request of marrying to a well-known Alpha he only usually sees on TV and magazine could at least allow him to make up for all those exasperation and worry he caused to his parents.

Though he had been quite skeptical of his parent's sudden connection to the Liu family, but after his mother showed him a photo album of a 4 years old him standing rigidly beside a familiar-looking little boy who's quite taller than him until it turns out he had been Liu Zheng's playmate for only 2 years then the other left to study abroad and he had probably not felt even slightly remorse when his 'dear' childhood friend left considering how he was still a tad at that time. But then knowing how his soon-to-be husband and Alpha mate is someone― not him ― his parents knew, this at least made him feel relieved.

Yan Xin had expected a lot from Liu Zheng. He had known Liu Zheng and his character since he is a public figure, appearing through interviews that randomly pops up on TV and magazines, being one of the most successful businessmen in the country with surprisingly zero scandals.

Marrying someone big and successful, Yan Xin expected a lot. And to his secret delight, Liu Zheng had not failed him.

During their first spring night, which was that night where Yan Xin had someone help him with his heat for the first time, which he expected eventual pregnancy in the next several weeks because of how Liu Zheng is not only incredibly potent and.... big, Yan Xin waking up from an empty and cold bed after their first intercourse, he couldn't be more happier than this.

He then continuously spent his days, living in a strange mansion with another person quite peacefully, though living with Liu Zheng still reminded Yan Xin of how he used to live alone in his apartment. Silent, but it's a comfortable kind of silence.

When Liu Zheng decided to work at home, he would not thoroughly treat Yan Xin like an air and cooped himself inside his home office like Yan Xin expected him to, knowing how he's allegedly this "type" of person; he'd accompany Yan Xin, sitting in the living room while Yan Xin was just across him at the kitchen, experimenting on ingredients, and Liu Zheng never made any noises which always comforted Yan Xin.

During meal time, they will silently eat. During bed time, Liu Zheng was not a restless sleeper nor does he steals blanket. During weekends, one will be in the living room and one will be in the kitchen, silently doing their work, he was even happy that Liu Zheng was willing to taste test his new recipes.

When Yan Xin was already 6 months pregnant and is now having a hard time moving around with a bloating stomach, Liu Zheng was meticulous in taking care of him.
