"Hey sweetheart! Another round over here!" I sighed and got them another round of shots, they have been here all night.

Sadly this is my job, I work as a bartender. It pays the bills so I can't complain. I work as a bartender for a popular bar called Lix, a bar that sees everyone and everything.

I've seen so much here that it's not even funny. Drugs, drunken rants, drunk hookups. You name it I've probably seen it. I glanced at my watch, not part of my uniform but I honestly didn't give enough of a fuck to care.

5:45.

I almost cheered. Don't get me wrong I love the job, its fun and it pays really well, I just hate being near people who are drunk off their ass.

Some people are funny when their drunk, but others are annoying piece of shits that end up getting thrown out anyway.

I was broke out of my thoughts when I heard a bottle break. Damn I gotta clean that up.
I turned around to see who broke the bottle, and got a response that I didn't like;
"Hey bitch! Come clean this up, your a woman right? That's what your gonna be doing tonight, cleaning up after us men." I glared at the man, bald, fat, and looked like he needed a shave.

I walked over to him and punched him as hard as I could in his face. I must have broke his nose because he started bleeding. Good, he needed a new look anyway.

"First off you fat fuck, I have dignity, I refuse to clean up after you because you obviously have no respect for women and I will break your fucking arm if you ever call me a bitch again. You can clean up your own mess and I will personally throw you out of this bar when your finished. If I ever see your ugly face here again I will cut your dick off. Do I make myself clear you fat ass?" I glared at him as he slowly stood and glared at me.

"Who do you think you are?! I'm a man, your just an object I can fuck whenever I want. I won't do a woman's job and clean this mess." I swear I popped a vein.

I hopped over the counter, kicked him as hard as I could in the nuts, grabbed him by his collar to the door and threw him out.

"Show your face here again and your dead." I warned him and stormed back inside to finish my job.

When I walked back to the bar, the whole place erupted in cheers.

"That's a fucking badass bartender!" I chuckled at that and did a bow.

I told them that I had to excuse myself and went to the bathroom to fix myself up.
I smoothed out my dark red vest, straightened my red tie, dusted my black slacks and glanced to see if my shoes were still shiny, they were.
I looked at the mirror and sighed at the reflection.
Dark brown eyes that shown sadness and defeat. Black hair that stuck out in some places despite having it in a neat and tight ponytail.

I sighed and exited the bathroom and continued my job.

My watch beeped and I glanced at it, 6:00. Closing time.

I nodded at the DJ and he announced that the bar was now closed and that everyone had to leave. Boos could be heard but they all left in the end.

I nodded at him and began to stock up for tomorrow night, wiped down the bar and locked the place up for the night.

"Night Reggie." I said as I waved to the DJ, he waved back and took off to whatever he was gonna do.

I got to my car, a black dodge challenger. Man I loved this car. I got in, and started it up, as soon as it started, Welcome to the black parade by My Chemical Romance blared from my speakers. I grinned and sang along as I drove home.

When I finally got home I kicked off my shoes, and went to my bedroom to change into my sweats and tank top, after a shower of course.

After my long and warm shower I grabbed something to eat and headed to my room to finally sleep.

Just another day for Shay Knight.
