Chapter 1
It was yet another day in the Smith household. The voice of all the alarm clocks going off just never seemed to stop. As like any other normal or semi-normal day some of the Smiths woke up starting with Isabella, the oldest of two children. For a cheerleader, she was everything but the expected stereotype. An honors student that settled for nothing less than an A as well as one of the sweetest and most generous person one would ever meet in their lifetime. Isabella woke up with no struggle because she was grateful to be a part of such a wonderful family. Isabella was a unique individual for she had been adopted at only 2 months old and at age of 13 her parents had finally mustered up the courage to tell her. The moment those few words left the mouth of those she thought were her parents she'd been taken back by the news and didn't know what to make of the situation. Sure she always knew that she bore no resemblance to her parents or her younger brother but she'd sworn she had some of the same features as her grandmother. The news did shock Isabella but she took it surprisingly well. Deep inside, Isabella knew her parents loved her and they'd never stop being her parents which is why when she found out the truth about her adoption she'd become more grateful for her life and of course her wonderful family.
After washing up Isabella made her way to the kitchen only to see her mother, Janet. Janet, a loving mother at home but a ruthless business woman at work, woke up and took the liberty of trying to make breakfast for her family but of course like many of her prior attempts it went horribly wrong and for the third this month Isabella had no problem calling the fire department. This sure did wake up the rest of the family. Of course, this was no surprise to anyone for they had last count of the times they woke up this way. All of the Smith's had to be escorted out of their homes until the fire had ceased. "Janet honey I understand you love cooking for us but you have to understand, we don't want to die just yet". Janet shrugged of her husband's smart remark "Oh come on, Ben, it wasn't half as bad as last time, see it was only the kitchen this time" Janet tried to explain to her husband and kids. "Ok kids how about we get dressed and go out to eat and forget your mothers attempt at murdering all of us in our sleep, what do you say" Ben said with nervous chuckle afraid of facing Janet's wrath so early in the morning. "I did no such thing, kids don't listen to your father he's just mad he had to wake up". Isabella and Jack laughed at their parents small but much needed argument. By the time the house was safe to go back into it was already 8:00am. Isabella ran to her room and put on some black faded jeans and a hoodie. She grabbed her backpack and made her way into her brother's room. She knocked on Jack's door "I'm leaving in 10 minutes, if you're not in the car by then you're walking to school" she told her brother, knowing all too well she'd never let her younger brother walk to school. She made her way downstairs to the kitchen and found her parents bickering at each other "Mom Dad were going to be late if we don't leave now! We'll just get something to eat on the way to school, love you both" she said waving her parents goodbye.
Isabella dropped her brother of at the middle school and made her way to her high school. The moment she parked her car she heard someone calling her name. She got out of the car to see Lucas or as she liked to call him Luca. Luca was Isabella's boyfriend of 4 years and they were inseparable. They were madly in love with each other and both couldn't dare to imagine their life without the other. Even after 4 years every date and every conversation they had felt as though it was the first. Everytime she talked to him or even looked at him Isabella's stomach would fill with butterflies and somehow that same feeling never seemed to cease even after all these years. It was safe to say they loved each other far more than they should have.
Isabella stared at her Luca as he started making his way towards her and he, as usual, looked amazing. Luca came from a very successful family like Isabella; however neither of them ever took what they had for granted. As Luca came closer the more impatient and giddy Isabella got. She couldn't wait for him to slowly walk she'd missed him which is why she ran to his arms. Luca knew Isabella would run to him, she alway did, which is why he walked so slowly. The moment Isabella reached Lucas he wrapped his arms around her and gave her a kiss on the cheeks and settled his face on her neck. He loved being in Isabella's embrace and how he wished they would stay like this forever but unfortunately they had to face the worst thing known to man, highschool. Luca's hated school but with Isabella it was tolerable. Both lucas and Isabella were far more advanced in their studies than all of the kids in school and were even given the chance to graduate 2 years early but Isabella declined by saying that she wanted the full high school experience. Lucas had thought about graduating early but the moment he'd heard Isabella's decision he too declined the offer. He wanted to be where Isabella was and if that meant facing another 2 years in a school filled with immature kids then so be it.
Luca and Isabella made their way into the school only to be stopped on multiple occasions to say hi to other students. Luca hated talking to anyone but Isabella but Isabella, being the sweet girl that she is, had to say hi to everyone.
The first two classes had passed like a breeze and now Isabella and Luca were having lunch in the canteen. "Luca, can we take a reign check on our dinner tonight. I have to overlook the Leukemia fundraiser today" she'd said to Luca. Luca sighed hating the fact that he couldn't have dinner with her but if the damn fundraiser made her happy then he'd just have to deal with it. "Why do they always put you in charge of things like this?" he asked her hoping she'd change her mind. Isabella started laughing at his comment "Luca the reason they put me in charge is because I'm the club president it's sort of in my job description" she told him trying not to burst out laughing but failing miserably. Luca nodded "just make sure to call me when you're leaving the fundraiser and again when you get home" he told her with a serious face to which Isabella nodded knowing all too well Luca was a mother hen.
The school day had ended and Luca was finding it hard to leave without Isabella. After what seemed like an eternity Luca gave her a final kiss on her cheek and got on his car and left. Isabella made her way to the school gym to set up for the fundraiser. The fundraiser consisted of games and auctions to try and raise money for those who had Leukemia, especially, children. After a tiresome 3 hours the event had finally ended. The fundraiser had raised an astonishing $2,500 the most the school has ever raised in one night. Isabella was happy with her accomplishment. She packed up her things and started making her way to her car when she remembered she had to call Luca to let him know she was leaving. Isabella looked through her bag to try and find her phone. After a few minutes of fumbling with her bag she found it and she dialed Luca as she continued walking. Luca immediately answered her phone when he saw it was Isabelly "Hello Bella did the fundraiser end?" he asked her. Isabella started to answer Luca's question "Yes it ended and I'm making my way..." Isabella stopped when she noticed a bright light coming straight at her.
