Chapter 9: Slip up

Kenny POV: 

I woke up first, I've always been a morning person. 

I look to my side, Marjorine is still sleeping on my shoulder. She looks so... peaceful. 

I softly smile and gently lay her down to avoid disturbing her, I walk over to the kitchen to make breakfast.

I don't think Bebe and Marj will mind if use their ingredients, I grab 4 eggs from the fridge and begin to start cooking.

*Time skip* 

Bebe and I are sitting at the table eating our food, while Marj and Karen are still sleeping.

I hear soft footsteps coming through the kitchen entrance, I look behind me to see Marj walking in rubbing her eyes. Bebe looks up "Oh! Morning sweetie!" Marjorine softly smiles and waves in response, I can tell she isn't a morning person. 

Me and Bebe finish our food I stand up and bring our plates to the sink, Marjorine is on the counter next to the sink with her back against the fridge, her knees are bent up to her chest. She has a cup of coffee she takes a sip.

I take all the dishes and put them in the sink, I walk back into the bed area to wake up Karen. I lightly shake her. "Wake up Kare!" 

She opens her eyes slowly sits up and rubs her eyes, she blinks and stands up to say good morning to everyone our whole family is full of morning people.

I peek over at the alarm clock in the room as Karen enthusiastically makes her way into the kitchen, It is currently 10:05 am. I walk back into the kitchen Karen is chatting with Bebe, I walk over to the counter and lean on the sink in front of Marj she looks slightly more awake.

She looks up and grabs a pill bottle out of the cabinet above her head, covering the label with her fingers, all I can make out is 'fe ormo ils' I tilt my head "What are those for?" I asked eyeing and pointing at the bottle. 

Her grip on the bottle tightens she looks nervous, "Nothing, don't worry about it Ken" She softly smiles and pops a pill into her mouth, washing it down with a sip of coffee. She places it carefully back into the cabinet and closes it before I can even look up at it, clearly, she doesn't want me to know whatever is in that bottle, she places her empty coffee cup in the sink and slides so her feet dangle off the counter. 

We both get startled as we hear the slamming door open "Be back soon!" Bebe shouts. "Bye!" I hear Karen shout after her. The door closes, "Well guess it's just us now" I smirk, I look back over at Marj. "You really are a pervert" She rolls her eyes while smiling, I wink.

"Soo you have anything to do today?" She shakes her head. "Great! Me either." I grab her hand and pull her off the counter, "Let's go find something to do!" She giggles. "Sounds good to me" She stands up straight and pulls her hand away from me. 

"I need to get dressed, I'll be quick promise!"(M) I raise an eyebrow "Better be we don't have all day you know" I say jokingly, she laughs. "Yeah yeahh" she walks into the other room, I sit on the floor in preparation in case she takes a while.

*6 minutes later* 

I hear soft footsteps walk into the kitchen, I open my eyes and look up, she is wearing a long-sleeved blue dress that is the same color as her eyes. She also has a small Hello Kitty clip holding her bangs out of her face.

"Sorry, that took so long you ready?" She softly smiles. Why is my heart beating so fast? Why does my face feel so hot??? Why is she so pretty...

She kneels down in front of me, "Ken are you okay? Your face is really red.." She places the back of her hand on my forehead. 

I softly push her hand off my face, "Im okay Marj don't worry!" I try to play it off like it's nothing, but my face still feels hot, I have a weird feeling in my stomach too... She stands up. "If you say sooo"

She puts her hand out for me to stand up, I grab it and she pulls me up almost falling backward. I pull her up, "Dumbass" I laugh "Oh shut up.." she chuckles, We exit the dorm complex and begin to walk down the sidewalk. 

We continue down the path but I stop walking she looks back at me, "What's wrong Ken?" I notice she is still holding onto my hand. "Where are we even going?" I smile, and I watch as the realization hits her. "Ohhhhh right..." I chuckle and pinch the bridge of my nose. 

"Sooo any ideas in there?" I flick her forehead lightly. She looks up at my finger and raises an eyebrow, we both laugh. 

We both start to think. "Uhh maybe lets-" My stomach rumbles, Marjorine giggles "Hold that thought, wanna get some lunch first?" She asks, "Sounds like a plan." 

"Alright, where to? It's on me!" She starts to walk, "Oh, and just a note I have 0 spice tolerance so please dry to keep it to a place that sells non-spicy food." 

"Alright, noted" I chuckle. We continue to walk down the sidewalk, "Ah!" she exclaims, "hmm?" "I just remembered there is a Wendys near here wanna go there?" "Works for me I'm just hungry"

We finish our food and stand up, "Thanks for the food Marj! Appreciate ya!" we walk out "Don't mention it Ken" she smiles warmly. I feel that weird feeling in my stomach again, I need a drink.

"Should we do something else or go back home?" She asks. "Do you drink?" I ask her in hopes she will say yes, "No, I've never tried it.." Kinda to be expected to be honest "Do- you wanna try someee?"

"No thank you.." she nervously giggles, "Ahh fine suit yourself" I don't want to pressure her into drinking, like her cousin she is incredibly innocent and naive, it's kind of adorable. I look down at her, "Huh..." she looks up at me, "something wrong?"

"You are really short Marji" I never really realized she was shorter than me. She raises an eyebrow "Am I really? How tall are you?" 

"6,1 you?" "Oh... I'm 5,7.." she chuckles. "Still! I'm only 4 inches shorter than you it's basically the same thing right?" 

I pat her on the head ruffling her hair "Whatever helps you sleep at night Marjorine." she rolls her eyes and lightly punches my arm, "Don't be a jerk Kenneth" I laugh.

Suddenly I stopped walking and she did too. "What is it Ken?" she smiled softly, "How do you know my full name is Kenneth...?"  she suddenly widens her eyes, she looked scared...?
