"That's it Hazel. You're suspended."
This practically broke my heart, just kidding. I can finally escape this dumpster fire called high school. That was a yes and a no. I did escape Jessica dare and all her mean friends at sunny high, but not the rest of high school. We were moving to somewhere in Florida, I think it's Cape Coral. Now I'm in the back of my step mom's car listening to my summer playlist.
"Be glad that they suspended you at the end of the school year."
"Yup, Super grateful!" I say with a sarcastic smile on my face.
Honestly I was hoping I could get an early summer break but I was stuck with Mrs. Burrows as my principal and she's my step mom's friend. I think sliming her in front of the whole school set her a bit over the top. Not mentioning my vandalism in the second floor girl's bathroom, filling the girls locker room with mice, and starting a food fight by pretending to be two different people.
"Were at the airport, get your luggage." My dad says while pulling over at the drop-off zone.
My dad knows I don't like this airport. This is where my mom left us, me. Now she's somewhere in Los Angeles. She never comes to visit, and she doesn't even try to call. Not even on my birthday! Anyway I see a Starbucks and I haven't had breakfast yet. you know what I'm going to do. I walk in, and look around me. It is crowded as heck in here, and I'm not ready to wait two hours and miss my flight for some food. I walk up to some girl who is on her phone. Easy target. I wait till the line moves then I sneak ahead of her. Two minutes later I'm at the front of the line. A woman in a Starbucks apron and a grumpy face comes over to take my order.
"Hi, What can I get you?" She says grumpily.
"Mocha Latte please." I say as I slip one of the Starbucks gift cards out of my bag.
"Coming right up." She groans after I pay her
As she leaves I notice her slip four packs of coffee beans and two mugs into her side pocket, Ugh. I sit down at a table and start sketching.
