It has now been a month since I moved in with the Cullens. A sort of consistency has been created not only for me but for Kaylee. Something I have always wanted foe my daughter. I have kept in touch with Alec through out the month to keep tabs on the Voltori and was told that they are now looking for both the Cullens and Kaylee and I. Something that chills me every time I think about it. Sure I could make Kaylee a human for a while but how do you explain that she is not your daughter. I could never do that to her.

I knew we were safe. For how long? That I wasn't sure of...but I do not care anymore. Until true danger comes then I may leave. Not for me. But for Kaylee. Yet apart of me wants to stay and put an to this wrong dictatorship of the Voltori. Do I think they cluld be brought down? Hell yea. The true question is when? If so could Alec come home to Kaylee and I? Become the true family that we are full of happiness, life, and love. Something that we had always wanted together. A true family. With a wedding and more kids and knowing that nothing could ever take it away.

As the month wore on I started to use and practice my second power some more sure it wasn't the strongest but I knew how to use it. It's been nice having family surrounding me and yet everyone has been changing but me. I padd around the house wearing a pair of Toms and black skinny jeans with a pink floral shirt.

Carlisle was at work and Esme had been going to a painting class, while everyone else was at school or work since Rose and Emmett had graduated the year before.

A sigh slips from my lips as I pass by the mirror for the twenty billionth time in what felt like two years. I stop this time and actually take a loon at myself. My hair had grown quite a bit it reached almost to my butt and it seemed to drown out my sharp chin and my bright blue eyes. I grab my keys from the small bowl on the stand and walk to my car.

Slamming my door behind me I am soon on the road. Driving through the small town I go to the usually empty parking spaces near the salon and antiqe stores. I get out and lock my car as I stroll through the stores trying on different pieces of clothing here and there.

After spending a few hours or so I had bought a couple of fifty styled dresses and a few other things. I was walking to my car when I saw my reflection in the salon window. I needed a change, I looked more like a teen than a mother of a six and a half year old. I keep walking and put my bags in the car but do a quick u-turn and enter the salon. It was called Stylin' Sally's since '49 it had an old vibe to it like the stores around it and was playing some Leslie Gore. A women of about sixty was sitting in one of the three red styling chairs chatting with the women doing her hair.

There was no tvs like most places but a wall chock full of hair products lined the shelves a woman around forty or so stood behind the counter her strawberry blonde hair was set in a bundle of curls perched right on the top of her head. She was typing away on the computer her red colored nails a quick blur while her pearly whites chewed on a dark red lower lip. After a few more minutes of typing she looks up and gives me a bright smile.

"Hi! Welcome to Sally's. How may I be of service?" She asks me as I walk closer to the desk.

"I need a new look," I reply as she walks out from behind the desk.

"Alright, follow me to the back we'll shampoo you and figure out what to do. Kay?" She tells me with a soft smile. I nod my head and follow her to the back of the salon the theme not once stopping old photos of celebrities hung on the light bubblegum pink walls. After she was done she took me to the salon chair furthest from the other old woman to the far right wall.

"Alright, want do you want to do? I know you want a change but how big of a change?" She questions me putting her hands on her hips.

"Well I have always had long hair...you see my um...boyfriend loves it. But he's away right now and I just want it gone. If that make any sense at all..." I ramble quickly.
