Chapter 35

Dismay. That's how one would define, picture, or sense the lives of anyone considered with the two boys, Beomgyu and Yeonjun.

Their separation, be it forced or selective, be it framed or intentional, whatever it was, caused a lot of impact on their lives.

It was pretty funny to think about it from Beomgyu's perspective, because if someone were in his place, they wouldn't have gotten attached to a person like Yeonjun in the first place, right?

A person like Yeonjun. Beomgyu would think about it a lot. Not one, but many people told him about his impact on Yeonjun and how Yeonjun has changed as a person. Choi Yeonjun who wouldn't have cared if the world had to collapse in front of his eyes became a Yeonjun who would care about an ant just because Beomgyu would adore it.

But, after that day, Yeonjun had been back to his past self. He had become very rebellious and didn't bother to listen to anyone. He was regular at the institution, unlike Beomgyu who seemed to be at an infinite leave.

Yeonjun used to be the same, scary, rude F4 leader everyone used to be scared of. His bullying cases had started again and things seemed to be back on track until the day he met with an accident.

"What?"
"You need to hurry up, I am worried you won't have enough time"
"What do you mean enough time-"
call ended.

"What happened beomgyu? Why do you look like you just saw a ghost?", Eunchae asked, peeking at her brother.

"Eunchae.."
"Yes?"
"Yeonjun.."
"What yeonjun? I swear to god, after all that has happened-"
"He- he's in the hospital.."
"What? Why?"
"I don't know, he is very injured"
"Are you going to the hospital then?"
"..I need to"
"Should I come with you?"
Beomgyu didn't reply, eunchae worriedly rubbed her brother's back, "Let's go together, don't worry, he will be fine".

Eunchae picked up some cash and booked a cab to the hospital, by the time the cab arrived, she caressed her brother's hand, helping his anxious self.

Throughout the way, Beomgyu kept tearing up and eunchae kept cleaning his face, her handkerchief was completely wet till they reached.

Beomgyu barged into the room and looked around to see Soobin, kai, and taehyun worriedly sitting on the couch while Yeonjun was lying on the bed with a gauge tied around his head.

Beomgyu cleaned his tears and looked at Soobin.

Soobin walked up to him, "he didn't wake up yet. there is a surgery in an hour, it is very risky-"
"What happened?"
"A c-car accident"
Soobin looked at Kai and taehyun, and both of them stood up.

Taehyun sighed, "Beomgyu, you shouldn't have hurt him. He has been so reckless after what happened between you two"
Beomgyu wasn't even able to reply back to taehyun properly. He just kept trying to take a peek at Yeonjun.

Soobin sighed and held Beomgyu's arm, leading him to Yeonjun's bed.

Kai rolled his eyes, "Honestly, I don't think Beomgyu should even be here. Doctors are not even sure if Yeonjun would wake up, even if he does, I don't think he would like the fact Beomgyu is here after hurting-"
Taehyun lightly slapped Kai's shoulder. Kai rolled his eyes.

Beomgyu was now sat beside Yeonjun, looking at him with teary eyes. Beomgyu started sobbing.

Soobin looked at Taehyun and mouthed, "I can't see him crying"

Taehyun told Soobin to keep quiet. Kai yelled, "Beomgyu, why did you do it to him? Yeonjun was seriously changing for you! He really cared for you!"

Beomgyu held Yeonjun's arm and wept, "I d-didn't want to. I just had to"

"Why? Don't you care for him even a little? I don't imagine anyone hurting someone they care about. Seriously, don't you feel even a little sympathy towards him? I can't-"

"I do", Beomgyu yelled.

Taehyun looked at Soobin who was feeling very sad for Beomgyu.

Beomgyu laid his head over Yeonjun's chest and started crying, "I do care about him! If I wouldn't, I wouldn't have been here. It's just that I was given a choice. and I wasn't courageous enough to fight for my feelings"

"Feelings?", Kai asked. Beomgyu nodded, still being in the same position.
"What feelings?", taehyun asked.

"I like him", Beomgyu stated.

"I like Yeonjun hyung, it's hard when he's not around me. It's painful to see him in pain right now. I don't like it when he-", Beomgyu sighed.

"He needs to wake up", Beomgyu said.

Kai dragged taehyun out of the room, soobin looked around in confusion.

Beomgyu felt yeonjun moving. He got up and looked at him opening his eyes. Beomgyu looked at Soobin who had hidden his face.

"Hyung, call the doctor?"

Soobin shook his head and signaled beomgyu to look at Yeonjun who was controlling his laugh. Beomgyu stood up, "what is it? Did you guys plan all of this to make fun of me-"

"Soobin hyung? You're also involved in this?"

Beomgyu was walking away when Yeonjun pulled his hand, making him fall on the bed. Yeonjun looked at Soobin who sighed and walked out of the room. Yeonjun wrapped his arms around Beomgyu.

"Listen Beomgyu, I'm sorry I had to do this. I just wanted to know if you-"
"You're such a rat! I can't believe this. Are you crazy? Do you even know how worried I was? I was about to have a heart attack when I heard all of that. Seeing you laying down like this and assuming you were in such pain had me-"
"I'm sorry Beomgyu, I shouldn't have done this, but this was the only way I could've met you and gotten this confession out of you"
Beomgyu started hitting Yeonjun on the chest.

"Ow!", Yeonjun held Beomgyu's hands.

"Come on now, you ghosted me for so long, we should be equal now!", Yeonjun stated.
Beomgyu sighed.

Yeonjun sniff-kissed Beomgyu's cheek, "I missed you"
Beomgyu looked at Yeonjun and gave him a little nod, "I just couldn't go out of my house because I was homesick"
Yeonjun took a second to understand, it was very rare of Beomgyu to say such things. Yeonjun smirked, "That's a good one".

"I heard you started bullying again?"
Yeonjun didn't reply.

Beomgyu held his hand, "So, if I won't be around, you'd be the same yeonjun who bullied me-"
"No, I won't do it again."

"I won't as I won't let you go again"
Beomgyu let out a scoff.
