"Sources say that the flight crew, including the captain and first officer, were drinking at their hotel the night before the flight..." the news reporter says looking at the television as Elizabeth watches.

"F.A.A. regulations prohibit the consumption of alcohol 12 hours before a plane's scheduled departure time. The crew was in direct violation of these regulations." Another news source reports.
...

"Boy, were they hammered," the bartender says, talking to Abby, who holds up a picture of the pilot who was flying the plane. "Not the pilots, though, right?" Abby questions as the bartender wipes down the tabletop. "Two pilots, six flight attendants... hammered," the bartender confirms. "Even..." Abby starts, showing another picture.

"I told them, 'Y'all better not be flying tomorrow,'" the bartender continues. "And she says to me, 'Don't worry. These planes these days... they fly themselves.' Can you believe it?" she asks rhetorically, looking at Abby.

...
"Shit... They've already leaked what was in the black box?" Elizabeth mutters, watching the news. "Somewhere in that recording is the truth. We need our own copy," Olivia says, turning to Harrison and Elizabeth. "I'll get Huck on it," Harrison replies, walking out of the room. Olivia nods before turning back to the TV. "...taken to the tower. Pleas from the first officer also appear to have been ignored. ," the reporter concludes as Stephen enters, exhaling deeply.

"I am this close to getting the mechanic's report," Stephen complains, taking off his jacket and sitting down. "What happens?" Olivia asks, confused. "I lost my superpowers. I'm engaged. I can't use every tool in the box anymore," Stephen answers. "And by tool, you mean your..." Abby starts, but Elizabeth cuts her off. "Don't finish that sentence," Elizabeth warns. "Okay, just find another approach, Stephen. We need those reports. Abby," Olivia instructs, turning to Abby. "The bartender confirms that both pilots and all six flight attendants were drinking."

"Hold on, six? The manifest lists five," Elizabeth notes, turning to the window with all the pictures. "You think one of them didn't make the flight?" Harrison questions. "Black box recording," Huck announces, handing Harrison the black box. "How'd you get it?" Harrison asks, sitting down. "N.T.S.B. server. Child's play. Olivia, may I talk to you?" Huck asks, but Olivia ignores him. "Check the airline schedule. See which attendants were supposed to fly 684," Olivia orders. "Got it," Abby responds. "In your office?" Huck adds, still being ignored. "See what other flight crews were passing through Philly that night," Olivia continues, and Stephen nods. "Got it."

"Where's Quinn? Has anybody seen Quinn?" Elizabeth asks, noticing someone is missing. "I think she went out. Where's the manifest?" Abby questions, searching through the files. "Check my desk," Elizabeth replies as Abby moves to her desk.

"She's dead," Huck states, catching Elizabeth's attention. She looks at him in shock. "What?!" Elizabeth exclaims. Huck nods while Olivia continues giving orders. "If there is a missing flight attendant who is alive, we need to find her before the airline does," Olivia says. Elizabeth slams her hands on the table, making the room go quiet. "Amanda Tanner is dead!" she yells. Olivia looks at her, shocked and saddened. "Are you sure?" Olivia asks. Huck nods.

Elizabeth storms out of the headquarters, with Olivia following. They approach a car parked outside and bang on the window. "Roll down your window. You tell your boss, through your little radio, that I know. I know what he did to her. We all know!" Elizabeth exclaims. The man inside looks at Elizabeth and Olivia before rolling up the window and driving off.

...
Olivia was going back into her office with Elizabeth when she sees Quinn and an older man. "Quinn. Who is this?" Olivia says putting her mug down as the man stands up. " Hank Tanner." Quinn introduces as he goes to shake hands with them both. " I'm Amanda's father." Hank says as Elizabeth nods. "Uh, it's a pleasure to meet you. Please" Elizabeth says offering him the seat as Olivia sat on one side, Quinn sat on the other and Elizabeth sat on her desk. "I stopped by Amanda's place and found Mr. Tanner outside." Quinn says. " Amanda said that she came to work for you after she left the White House." Hank says as Elizabeth gives Olivia a look of confusion.

"Yes, that's right." Olivia says giving him a smile. "I don't mean to be a bother here, but, uh, I've... I've been talking to Mandy every day since she was in the hospital, and then I haven't heard anything from her, so I decided to come up here and make sure that everything was all right. Her mother is really worried about her." Hank explains. " It's okay, Mr. Tanner. Everything's going to be fine. I promise." Quinn says as Elizabeth sides eye her before looking at her best friend again in confusion. " Mr. Tanner, you look like you could use a cup of tea." Olivia starts out.

"Quinn, would you help me get some tea for Mr. Tanner?" Olivia says giving quinn a look before getting up. Quinn nods to Hank before getting up and following her. "Thank you." He says before turning to Elizabeth who doesn't know what to say exactly. "We are gonna find her and everything will okay" Elizabeth says as Hank gives her a smile. Suddenly her phone rings causing her to dig it out of her purse to see who it is. "Um I gotta take this I'll be right back" Elizabeth says walking out of Olivia office and into her own.

"What do you want?" Elizabeth answers the phone, her voice sharp. "Why the hell are you threatening my agents?" Fitz demands. Elizabeth rolls her eyes. "Oh, you mean the men you sent to follow and scare me?" she retorts. "You told them that you know what I did to her. To who? Amanda Tanner?" Fitz asks, trying to maintain his composure.

"Playing dumb doesn't suit you," Elizabeth says, her tone icy, making him more aggravated. "Elizabeth, either say what you mean or stop—" Fitz begins, but Elizabeth cuts him off.

"Oh, stop what? War is war? Fine. But murder... is murder. That's something entirely different," Elizabeth snaps. Fitz pauses, taking in her words. "Amanda's dead?" Fitz asks, the realization hitting him.

Elizabeth gives a confused look before shaking her head. "She has a dad... a really nice man who's looking for his daughter. How do you think he's gonna feel when he finds out that the man he voted for had his daughter killed?" she asks, her voice filled with righteous anger. "I didn't do this. You know me. You know I didn't do this," Fitz denies vehemently.

"Do I?" Elizabeth questions, skepticism clear in her voice. "Trust your gut," Fitz pleads. Elizabeth scoffs. "I'm not Olivia. I don't trust my gut," she says. "Lizzie, come to the White House and look me in the eye. We need to talk about this face-to-face," Fitz says desperately.

"Face-to-face is not going to happen. That girl is dead. I have work to do," Elizabeth shoots down the idea. "This wasn't me. You know me. And the thought that I would ever, that I could ever... You know me," Fitz tries to explain, his voice breaking.

"Goodbye, Mr. President," Elizabeth says before hanging up.
