Fairyland at Home

Noah's POV

I can't believe that Elijah stole that money, but I guess I knew him coming back wouldn't turn out well. What I hate most is that Hazel ended up getting upset. She heard ma and I arguing about what the right thing to do with the money is and ma ended up, thankfully, deciding not to keep the money. But she did mention that now we can't go to Fairyland because that is what she was going to use the money for. Well, Hazel heard that and before I could even say anything she ran to her room. I hated to see my sister upset so I went to check on her. When I went to her room she was sitting on her bed hugging her stuffed penguin.

She didn't say anything for a few minutes so I was going to leave so that she could have some space and I just figured that I would just check in on her later, but as I turned around to leave I heard her ask, "Why aren't we going to Fairyland anymore? I thought ma said that she had some extra money come in."

I sighed when she asked that question. "We're not going to Fairyland anymore because that money that ma got is not good money. Somebody took that money from someone else to give it to us and as much as I would love for us to be able to go to Fairyland I wouldn't feel right if we didn't return that money."

It kind of surprised me when Hazel said "I guess you're right. It wouldn't be nice if we used someone else's money to do something. Even if it's something that I want to do a lot."

She smiled when I said "I have such a smart and amazing little sister, you know that right?"

I laughed when she said "I am pretty amazing."

"I'll go ahead and get out of your hair, alright?"

I hugged her when she said "Thank you for being the best brother ever Noah"

"And you're the best sis"

When I got back to my room I noticed that Breauna had messaged me back.

About an hour later I heard a knock on the door.

"I'll get it!" I hollered so ma and Hazel could hear me

When I opened the door I saw Breauna at the door dressed in a Santa suit dress and a Santa hat. I also noticed that she also had a present in one hand and a bag from the store in the other.

"Hey beautiful" I said as I let her in and gave her a quick kiss

"Hey yourself" she said

Before either one of us could say anything else I heard Hazel walking down the hall. "Who was that Noah?" she asked

I didn't have to answer bc when she walked into the living room she saw that Breauna was here. "Hi Breauna!" she said happily. "What are you doing here?"

"I came here to see you and Noah. Is it alright with you if I stay?" Breauna asked

"Of course it is!" Hazel said. "Ooohh what's in the bag and who's that present for?"

"This present is actually for you! And the bag has the ingredients for my favorite hot coco" Breauna said to Hazel

"Noah!" Hazel said "It's so nice that Breauna got me a present, wasn't it!?"

I looked over and smiled at Breauna when I responded to Hazel "It was nice of her to get you a present. Are you going to open it now?"

"I will if it's okay with Breauna" Hazel said while looking over at Breauna to see if it was

"Go ahead" she said to Hazel

Hazel ran over to the kitchen to sit in one of the chairs and as she was opening the gift that Breauna got her I looked at Breauna and said "You didn't have to do that."

"I know I didn't, but I wanted to" she responded to me with a smile

"What did she get you kiddo?" I asked Hazel

"She got me a teddy bear" Hazel responded

She ran over to Breauna and gave her a hug and said "Thank you so much Breauna! I love it! Now my penguin can have a new friend"

Breauna hugged her back and said "Of course, I'm glad that you like it"

After Hazel hugged her she asked Breauna "Hey, why did you get me a present?"

"Well Noah told me that y'all's plans to go to Fairyland didn't work out and he talked about how you've always wanted to go there and you were upset that it didn't work out for y'all to go, so I wanted to try and cheer you up so I brought a present and coco ingredients"

Hazel smiled as she whispered to me "She's the best"

I laughed lightly and whispered back to her "Yeah, I agree"

Breauna looked over at us and asked "Who's ready to make the hot coco?"

Hazel immediately said "I AM!"

As Breauna and Hazel started to take the ingredients out of the grocery bag I just looked at them and wondered how lucky I got to have an amazing little sister as well as an amazing girlfriend.

Breauna looked back as Hazel put the ingredients on the counter and asked "Are you going to join us?"

I looked at her with a smile and responded "Yeah of course, I'll get the mugs"
