waking up with a slight flinch, blossom tried to become aware of her surroundings. she was in her bed and it was only 2 am. 'i need to sleep...' she thought as she flipped over her pillow and closed her eyes again.

her attempts were fruitless though as every time she would close her eyes the giant beast would jump out at her once again.

blossom got out of bed with teary eyes as she quietly opened her door. she wasnt expecting anyone to be awake but to her surprise, there was a light coming from the crack under chan's door.

quickly she speed-walked over to her fellow maknae's door and softly knocked.

a little terrified of things turning out like the nightmare, she stood back a little and waited.

the girl heard footsteps and then the bedroom door slowly opened. "blossom? whats wrong- i thought you were asleep?" the boy whisper asked as he took the girls hand and gently pulled her into his room, closing the door afterwards.

"can i uhm- this is really stupid" blossom cringed as more tears welled up, threatening to fall while she fiddled with the bottom of her t-shirt; "can i sleep with you? i uhm i had a bad dream."

chan looked at his dongsaeng with worry as he slightly bent down and wiped the tears away before they could reach her cheeks, "of course you can. go lie down and i'll turn off the lights."

blossom silently nodded as she walked to the bed. as she made her way under the blankets the light went out ; but before her mind got the chance to freak out, a moon lamp on the elders side table flickered on as the he also got into bed.

as soon as chan pulled the blanket over himself, blossom scooted over and grabbed onto his shirt.

the boy smiled softly as he pulled her closer "you wanna tell me what the dream was about?"

"its so stupid. i don't even know why im scared" blossom mumbled before she felt chan start rubbing her shoulder with his thumb.

"its not stupid if it scares you"

"it was a lion..."

"what?"

"i lost you all in the company building and i thought you guys ran ahead but when i opened the practice room door a giant lion jumped out and ate me"

chan might have giggled a little at that response.

just maybe...

"you said it wasn't stupid" blossom pouted as she looked up at the elder.

"its not stupid" he said with a soft smile, "its just i was thinking it would be something bloody and violent. i also think i know whats causing it."

"what"

"stress. i heard it could be the cause of odd dreams and it wouldnt take a genius to tell you've been stresses this past month. it's understandable too. jun hyung and myungho hyung aren't here and you're covering majority of their parts." chan frowned as he looked at her. "you need a break. you've been working yourself basically 24/7 without rest."

"i cant just rest oppa." blossom mumbled, "i have a lot to do"

chan looked blossom in her sleepy eyes knowing she'd be to tired to have this debate. with a sigh, he ran his fingers through her hair as he pulled her closer.

" alright just promise me you'll go easy on yourself?"

"mhm" blossom hummed before she widened her eyes and looked up to the elder. "wait what about the dream? oppa its going to pop up again when i fall asleep."

with a hum himself, chan looked down, "dont worry. just sleep. oppa will be here to protect you." he said with a smile.

"okay" blossom mumbled, closing her eyes.

chan waited before hearing the girls breath even out to fall asleep. not without deciding to ask his eldest hyung, seungcheol, to get the company to give blossom a couple days off though.

seungkwan walked into blossoms room to wake her up the next afternoon around noon because according to joshua, just because its their day off, it doesn't mean thats an excuse to sleep all day.

as he walked in the room he noticed her blanket was messed up and her phone was still there.

"HYUUUUUUUNNNNGGGG BLOSSOMIE WAS KIDNAPPED" seungkwan yelled as he ran downstairs. joshua and wonwoo looked up from what they were doing with confused expressions.

"what do you mean she was kidnapped seungkwan?" wonwoo asked as he got up off of the couch.

"shes not in her bed! her phone is still there too!" the former rushed.

"i'll ask channie if he's seen her. hes the only one who hasn't left his room yet." joshua said as he walked upstairs and down the hall.

when he opened the door to chan's bedroom, he found an awfully large lump on chan's bed. upon closer inspection, both maknaes were cuddled up together.

"found them" he whispered to what he was assuming was the whole rest of the group who had all left their own rooms due to seungkwans yelling just moments ago.

"aww my aegis are so cute-" jeonghan cooed as he pulled out his phone to take a picture of the two.

eventually the members let the two sleep a little longer (but only taking a bunch of photos for blackmail purposes ofc).
