"Hello ladies," Hissed a voice coming from the darkness, " Welcome."
"Who who are you?" Jennifer said trembling.
"Me? Well I'm just the owner of this... this hotel." He whispered.
I looked down the hallway and all I could see was darkness. I let go of my friends' hands and tried to open the door. But there was no use, it was firmly locked.
"Where do you think you're going my little doll?" The man questioned.
"I'm trying to get out of here, obviously this isn't the hotel we were planning on staying in. So we might as well go." I replied trying to unlock the door.
"Oh I'm sorry but rules are rules." He chuckled.
We three looked at him in confusion.
"If a person steps foot in this house, they can't go. Unless they stay the night... alive." He grinned.
"What do you mean by, alive?" Tiffany said shaking.
"Haven't you heard the myths of this hotel? How people come in but they never come back out?" He explained.
"Well then we ought to stay the night then won't we." I said with confidence, although my palms were so unpleasantly sweaty with fear.
He handed us a key with the numbers "143" on it.
"That'll be your room number. Just go down the hallway and you will find a staircase. Go up the staircase and you will see another hallway. Your room will be in that hallway." He gestured.
We stared in what seems like an endless hallway. Us three started heading for the staircase at the very end.
"Oh and I forgot to tell you. This hotel is haunted." He said.
When I turned my head to take s glance at him, he was gone! Poof!
While we were going up the staircase, all I could here was creak. When we finally made it up that noisy staircase I saw our room. Located at the end of the hallway. As we reached there I placed the key in the key hole and unlocked it. The room was not surprising after what he told us. There were three beds all ready there with blotches of blood. There were no windows at all which made the room gloomy. There was a closet near the beds and a bathroom, a bathroom I do not wanna go in. I've read so much horror books and the person always dies in the bathroom.
"Is that... bl-bl-blood?" Jennifer asked stuttering.
Tiffany and I both nodded with fear. I looked at the time it was almost 8 pm.
"So. Who wants to go to the bathroom first?" I said with a nervous smile on my face.
"Me! I'm like dying to go. I was about to pee my pants when he said this place was... haunted." Tiffany said, "Harriot I'm so sorry! I actually did pee my pants and these aren't even mine, they're yours!" She said looking worried. But that was the last thing we should worry about right now.
I kept thinking to myself, 'Is this place actually haunted? Do you think that there were any survivors?'
Tiffany screamed. This shows that this place is really haunted because Tif never screams.
"Tiffany? What's the matter?" I said while while rushing in.
I screamed.
