Two men dressed in silver armor lead the two siblings through a dark and cold corridor.
1R: Movements of mediocrity! - ordered one of them, pushing the boy.
2R: Be careful, or he will cast some evil spell on you. - the second one warned his companion.
1R: Ha! As if they could do anything to us! - the first one sneered, completely ignoring the warning.
And the youth just kept going, trying to come up with a plan to avoid their fate. They walked like that for a while before they reached the end of the corridor with a door. One of the knights approaches the door and opens it, revealing the exit from the prison. They continue to lead the prisoners until they reach the center of the kingdom and the market square. A large number of residents gathered on the spot. The men lead the young people to the very front, where there is a platform and under it two pyres prepared for the condemned. Once the siblings were tied to the stake, they looked at each other, apologizing to each other, seeing that this was the end for them. However, this moment was interrupted by a voice.
Reading the charges: 'We have gathered here to punish these criminals for practicing black magic and bringing evil spells to others. By burning their bodies and unclean souls."
Having read this to the people, he gestured with his hand to set fire to the pyres. Which was done without protests. People watched as the fire grew larger by the second. As soon as the flames reached the teenagers' bodies, they didn't scream, instead they started laughing quietly, which turned into cackling and then into historic laughter. Everyone gathered was terrified looking at the kids, and among the crowd you could hear people shouting:
-Witches!
-Devils!
-Demons!
-Unholy beings!
Their screams would have continued had it not been for the sudden outburst of anger from the ruler present with them.
Ruler: Silence!! AND YOU!! Why are you laughing?!!
His roar only made the teenagers laugh even more, but they responded one by one.
Girl: You fools! - the girl insulted them, still laughing.
Boy: You're killing us for what?! - the boy asked, looking at everyone with amusement.
Girl: Because we can prepare natural medicines that work?! Because we know medicinal herbs?! Because we can build mechanisms and we live outside your shitty kingdom?! - she shouted the last word with venom of hatred before her brother continued.
Boy: Your beloved King and his power are worth shit! Our entire family and village was burned by him and his troops, do you still believe that he is so honest, good-natured and gracious???!!! - he asked the people, who only looked at their ruler in disbelief and remained silent.
The pyre was set on fire by one of the archers with a flaming arrow.
Girl: After our parents died, we were forced to live in the forest ALONE!!! You residents don't know what pain, what suffering!!! - she shouted at them.
Boy: You don't know what it's like to be alone!!! You don't know what it's like to have nightmares all night long and see everyone you love die in agony!!! Do you really think that we were forced to fight for our lives all day and night only to now die because of our "magic"???!!! - he said, looking at them like idiots.
