I would be lying to you if I said I hated the fact that Ashton comes over to hang out with Noah forty percent of the week. Ashton is My brother Noah's best friend. He's kind of my best friend too. I don't have many friends, but I'm not complaining. I have always been kind of a loner and I don't mind the fact. I've known Ashton since I was nine years old, and he's been my best friend since.

Though lately, things have been different. Ashton's been different. We've grown closer. And I've developed some sort of crush on him. I mean, how could you not? Ashton is really hot.

He's so sweet to me, and he has never excluded me. Even when I was little and considered to be his best friend's annoying little sister. But as I said, lately Ashton's been acting differently. More flirty.

He's always wanting to sit next to me when we're watching movies, snuggling me; he always wants hugs from me.

And It's not that I don't want it, it's just that I wish I knew what it meant.

Funny enough, Ashton is coming over later today, so maybe if I get the chance, I'll just ask him.

Ha, that's a funny joke.

I'm taken away from my thoughts when there's a knock at my door. Noah and I have lived alone since our parents died when we were younger. We were in foster care for awhile, but we both ran from it. We kept getting separated, and we both hated it.

I got the worst of the abuse from foster care, and those are demons I still fight every single day. The abuse, physical, sexual, and emotional. I get nightmares nearly every night from it, and I get frequent panic attacks, too. It's gotten better over time, but when it's bad, it's really bad.

"Yeah?" I say as I open my door seeing Noah standing there in basketball shorts and a tank top. Noah is tall, not as tall as Ashton who's almost 6'4, but he's still tall. Brown hair, hazel eyes. He can get any girl he wants, but chooses not to, he sticks with one, even though she doesn't even know who he is. Poor boy.

"Ashton will be here in like an hour, are you hanging with us?" He asks. I nod my head with a smile and he leaves shortly after.

When Noah leaves, I take this time to change out of my pajamas.

I chose something simple, but cute and comfy. I picked plain black leggings, and an oversized sweatshirt that I stole from Ashton like five years ago. I spray my favorite perfume, and put on some jewelry to add a little sparkle to my rather simple outfit.

I brush through my long brown hair, and then apply some mascara and strawberry lip gloss.

I finish off my outfit with plain white fluffy socks and pink slippers.

By the time I'm heading downstairs, the doorbell rings and I walk to the door. I open it to see Ashton standing there with two pizza boxes and soda.

"Ah my guardian angel," I tease, grabbing the pizza that he was about to drop and head to the couch. I wasn't sure where Noah was, but I wasn't complaining either. It's quiet in the house, and I am about to devour this pepperoni pizza.

I set the pizzas down on the coffee table and walk back to where Ashton is. He turns to face me and brings me into a tight hug, burying his face in my hair and exhaling tiredly.

"You okay?" I ask softly. I feel him nod lightly. "Just needed a hug. long day." I understand completely. I keep hugging him until he pulls away.

"Yo cheesebags, Mia texted me! Apparently she says she got my number from Jake. She wants to hangout tonight!" he says excitedly, making me giggle. Mia is the girl that Noah has been hopelessly crushing on since freshman year.

"You're ditching me to hang out with a girl?" Ashton teases making the fakest hurt face I've ever seen. He looks adorable right now, and I can't help but stare at his goofy grin, and his dimples.

"You can hang with Izzy," Noah says. Ashton shrugs and heads to the couch for a slice of pizza.

"I'm gonna go grab some ranch for the pizza," I say walking back to the kitchen. The only way I will eat pizza is with ranch. Don't knock it until you try it, it is the best thing you will ever have.

"Hey, how about we watch a horror movie?" Ashton suggested when I sat down on the couch.

I whine like a child. "Nooo I do not want to watch a horror movie. They scare the shit out of me!" Ashton is laughing at me, and I just throw the pillow at his face.

"Pleasee," he begs. He's pouting like a toddler and honestly, it's working. Not fucking fair.
