So sorry for the short chapter :((

Christmas time is right around the corner. We spent Thanksgiving last weekend with Ashton and his family; we meaning Noah, Mia, and I. It was filled with amazing food, games, and family fun. I love Ashton's family. They've come a long way from when Ashton's parents were split for nearly two years but reconciled about eight months or so ago.

Now it's time to decorate for the holidays! One of my favorite parts of Christmas time.

Currently Noah and I are going through the garage and attic grabbing all the boxes labeled 'Christmas' or 'Holidays'.

The chaos of choosing the decor that we're going to use this year or not, is Noah's least favorite part because we always get new things every year when we get a Christmas tree, so it can sometimes become difficult choosing.

Noah invited Mia to decorate with us, and so I invited Ashton as well. We're decorating the house, and then I'm going to bake sugar cookies that we're all doing to frost and decorate.

Something I started doing when I was like fourteen and was learning how to bake.

"Noah! Mia is here!" I shout when the doorbell rings. I greet Mia with a hug and offer her a cup of hot coffee which she happily accepts.

"How are you, girl?" She asks. I smile and sit down with her on the couch. "I'm good! I'm really excited to decorate. I always am; it's my favorite time of year." we chat for awhile waiting for Ashton and Noah

Ashton arrives not long after Mia, and Noah finally came downstairs after digging through the attic for some random Christmas decorations.

"Let's get decorating!"

About two hours later, we have the Christmas blankets and pillows on the couches, we have the lights strung across the windows inside, and now we are all getting ready to head out to buy a Christmas tree.

Both Noah and I put in the money for Christmas as we always do, and we have about four hundred dollars for gifts, decor, and any other random things that we decide to get for the Holiday.

We usually start saving in the spring, and just add what we can along the way. We have more this year than we have in a long time but mine and Noah's jobs have helped.

Everyone gets into Ashton's car- well his dad's car, and we head out. We have quiet Christmas music in the background, and we're discussing the plan for the rest of the day.

We're planning a slumber party tonight, so that after we are done decorating, we can watch movies, eat junk food, and just spend time together as a group. It was my idea, and everyone thought it sounded great.

We decided to buy a fake Christmas tree this year instead of a real one since Mia is allergic to pine; and we wanted to make sure she's safe when she's at our house for Christmas.

"Okay, let's see," I look at the options and suggest one that is so pretty, but gasp at the fact that it's nearly three hundred dollars. Nope, not that one.

"How about this one?" Mia suggests. We all love it. Noah grabs it and we make our way to the isle with the Christmas lights. We grab a box of colorful lights and a box of red lights.

I'm like a giddy child around Christmas, but it also makes me sad. My parents died a few months before Christmas, so I always miss them around this time of year.
