-Duncan's POV-
I woke up and immediately texted princess.
"Wake up sleepyhead" I texted her. I waited about 15 minutes except she didn't really respond to me. She didn't seem like the type to necessarily "sleep in" and if anything its either she was just really tired last night or I had found my real motivation to get up. I had waiting a longer and I had gotten ready, walked out, and knocked on her door. Finally, she opened the door, squinting.

There I was again tonight
Forcing laughter, faking smiles.
Same old tired lonely place.

"What do you want" she said, brushing her hair.
"Let's go get breakfast or something I'm bored" I said.
"Fine whatever. Give me 5 minutes" She said, Welcoming me inside.
Her place was really really nice and neat. I sat own the couch and waited for her.
She came out in a floral top and a denim mini skirt.
We finally leave the house, driving to get us something to eat for what was supposed to be breakfast, but now became brunch. We arrived and walked in into a modern looking restaurant. She had ordered an açaí bowl and I had ordered a breakfast burrito and home fries.
"So.. anything new?" She asked.
"Mm. Not really.. I work as a behavior technician now" I had stated.
"Wow.. unexpected"
"Yeah, you?"
"I'm in training to become a corporate advocate!" She said, obviously very proudly.
I smiled.
"Cool, ready to go?"
"Yeah"
I slapped a 15 dollar bill on the table and we walked to a park that was just around the corner from the restaurant. We chased each other around for a while, then decided to take a walk before going back to the car. I put headphones in my ear, listening to a playlist Courtney had made a long long time ago. I listened to it, and the first thing that came on was..

To be completely honest, I act like I hate her but her songs are pretty awesome. I remember when Courtney had introduced me to her. It was magical. Kind of like a mystery as well.. A literal experience.

All I can say is I was.. Enchanted to meet you... This night is sparkling, don't you let it go. I'm wonderstruck blushing all the way home. I spent forever wondering if you knew,

I drove her home, and she gave me a kiss on the cheek. I walked back home, texting my best friend, Geoff about it all. Being with her is a dream come true and I honestly could not be any luckier. I find laying down, looking up at the ceiling and smiling remembering how perfect she is. Yeah, it's corny.. but I mean it. She's perfect for me and I couldn't wish for anything more. I look outside, bored. I know I just left her so she can go spend the rest of the day, but truth is even if she's two minutes away, I still miss her like crazy. I love her. A lot. She's everything I could ask for.

Courtney's POV
I invited Bridgette over to hang out and discuss my feelings, because yes I really do like him, but I don't want to get my heart broken like that again.
I waited until I heard a knock on my door. I opened up and she would say
"Hey Courtney!"
"Hey Bridge"
"Sooo.. you and Duncan again?" She asked me.
I shrugged.
"I don't know.. I don't want to get my heart broken by someone like him again.." I said.
"Courtney I'm sure he regrets it deeply. You know he didn't mean it like that"
"How could you know that for sure?"
"I feel it in my bones, Courtney. He feels bad!" She said, pointing to herself.
"I guess.. I just have some mixed feelings"
"Well how can those mixed feelings be feeling that are a hundred percent?"
"I dunno.. I mean, maybe he can gain back my trust and we can go from there.. I just don't remember the last time I trusted someone like that"
She hugged me.
"Whatever decision you make I'll be here for you all the way"
"Thanks, Bridge." I said, smiling wide.
I think I know and knew exactly what to do, and I grabbed my journal/planner and my blanket and placed it down next to us. I got some crackers and tissues in case I started crying, and got to flipping. The memories of being heartbroken, the memories of being happy, sad, mad, all of the above. There's just so much and It all means every single little bit to me. Each and every single part. It makes me sad to think of him with another girl, even if im not officially his yet, which I kind of want to be. I thought for a minute, looked at Bridgette, then back at the journal.

I flipped through a page, remembering how upset I was during TDWT. Maybe he changed? I don't know for sure but at least he cut all ties with Gwen. I was flipping the pages, when I crossed along a page that had said..

I thought for a minute, remembering it was a song by Taylor Swift. How old. I closed the journal and trying to take a nap and Bridgette left. I found myself staring at the ceiling, thinking about everything. I tossed and turned waiting for sleep to consume me. I found myself looking up at the ceiling until I closed my eyes and dreamed about my future. I'm hoping there's more for me out there. More for us out there.
