"I'M NOT DOING THAT, BRIE," Ellington hissed into the phone, his eyes anxiously glancing towards Allison's closed bedroom door, praying she hadn't overheard.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Brietta's voice crackled over the phone, a mix of concern and frustration evident. "Eli, please. It's important."
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Ellington's shoulders tensed as he listened to Brietta's voice on the phone, the worry and frustration in her tone cutting through him.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀He cast nervous glances towards Allison's bedroom door before rubbing his forehead with his empty hand, "What is so important that I have to steal something from a girl I like?"
