The air began to change, dropping in temperature, feeling as if ice was in the veins of the Wren clan children. More so than that; what the two felt was an overwhelming sense of fear through their entire being once the stacks of crates were lifted with a sudden jerk and tossed aside. With a loud crash, the crates crashed into a panel causing sparks to fly about, making the lights above flicker.
Time seemed to slow down as the two cloaked figures began walking forward. Putting his right arm over the front of his younger brother, Clayton had instincts from his training working overdrive telling him they had to move. "Michael, on your feet now! We have got to move!
At this point, an alarm went off in the local city station, reporting a power outage in a distant hangar. With a groan already feeling stressed over the two boys, the Mandalorian watching the security cameras, looked at the alarm. "Why are alarms going off now at a time like this? What could possibly be going on?? Hey wait, there's no signal for cameras in the vicinity!"
The doors opened revealing Doug, who took notice of the alarm himself. "Now what have we got here? Tell me your report, son." Standing up out of his chair and with a slight bow, the Mando spoke out "Sir, we have a report in hangar 13-B. There's a power outage detected in the hangar itself. However, trying to run any back-up security cameras for live footage is a no go. There is a jammer going off at an unknown frequency."
"13-B hm?? If I'm correct, that was the hangar closed down due to older features, eventually being outdated for use. We were going to have that place scheduled for eventual maintenance." deduced Doug. Taking a closer look, Doug crossed his arms looking at the desk with a gleam in his eyes. "No report on Boman or Michael, no tracking signal going off on them, and this taking place. We have to connect the dots and take a guess that's where they are with their usual mischief. But the power outage and signal jammer... Well, that's a new one. We may need some assistance on your part."
"Of course, that's why I'm mainly here." spoke a feminine voice; as they walked into the room. Having a cloak over their head, she studied the alarm herself. "Coming to this planet, I was here for a few reasons, and this feeling in the area only confirms my further suspicions. If I may, could I ask for an escort to hangar 13-B? The time is urgent."Doug nodded, looking to the Mandalorian in charge of the station. "Gather your squad of city police and have them escort Master Jedi to that very hangar." "Sir!" Placing his helmet on, and switching to this comms, the Mando had the order reported. Once geared up, four Mandalorians supporting scarlet red Beskar were leading the way on a transport towing said Jedi.
Dodge after dodge as they ran for cover from flying debris, Clayton and Michael were scampering around, trying to do anything in their willpower to survive. Now of course they could've been caught easily, but the two cloaked beings were just enjoying the scene before them. They were playing and toying with the overwhelmed and frightened children, trying to pass time. "Good reflexes, good timing, good judgment and wit, I'd be foolish to ignore the two of you and your potential. But what caught our attention..." Flinging a pipe at Clayton's foot, making him trip and land on his stomach. Michael stopped in place, tried helping his brother up quickly but was suddenly unable to move a muscle. Rigid as a board, Michael could only stare hopelessly at the co-aggressor who did not wield the staff. "Was your inept ability in knowing what true power is as it stands before you" Exclaimed the staff wielding stranger.
"Be as it may, we do not have time for this Zim. Stop fooling around. In case you haven't noticed, we have a few short minutes until our shuttle appears. Clear your mind or have you not noticed we have more unwanted guests at the front door. Or has that staff clouded your judgment?" Lifting Michael with the force, he slammed the child into the nearest wall, walking forward step by step.
"Can it nerd herder. I know what I'm doing." Extending the staff forward, Clayton was lifted as well, slammed into the exact same place as his brother; his left shoulder by Michael's right. Standing next to his partner, Zim could only gush at his newfound power with the staff. "My power has only just began to rise since obtaining this relic. I doubt HE could take this staff from me now. There's no telling how far I could ascend. This is my true potential. I doubt those five on the other side can even comprehend true greatness when presented in front of them."
"Enough Zim, let's finish these two while we have the moment." Reaching his side, the force wielder grabbed a pure silver saber that looked to have a slight curve to its sleek looking material, looking easy to handle with a firm grip. With a flick of a button, the saber ignited a blood red blade, showing his affiliation; a dark Jedi. Having a grimace of disappointment, Zim reached his side and ignited a saber just as red but with a rougher looking grip, completely straight having a slick black cloth run down off the handle. "Fine Jayce, but let's see who's the volunteering participant." Both blades pointed at the children, crackles of energy could be felt through the air as low hums of energy echoed in the hangar. "Curly?...." Glancing at Michael, before shifting his gaze onto Clayton. "Or straight hair?"
Wiggling some against the wall, brown eyes stared daggers into Zim as he watched the tip of his saber graze across Clayton's armor; making sparks litter the floor below. "You touch Bo- and I swear there will be no star system you can hide!" With a low chuckle Zim allowed both children to drop on their rear ends against the wall. "Good... feel the hatred grow for me. Feel that pain as darkness surrounds you!" Both sabers were raised about the strike down their opposition. Seeing their hands reared back the furthest, Clayton threw his left hand up, having a loud sonic emitter go off, throwing both dark Jedi back a few feet with a strong sound wave. Getting up and taking off for the only exit in the area, the two blondes were praying to Mandalore himself that the doors would open.
Feeling his left arm get yanked back, Clayton looked on as Zim stood up with the staff laid forgotten beside him, but very much focused on the children in front of him. Closing his fist, sparks went off a little on Clayton's wrist, very much signaling that any devices Clayton may try to use in the future were now destroyed. Beginning to slide back to the clutches of Zim, Clayton tried fighting to back away from the bad person. Seeing Clayton in trouble, Michael grabbed onto his brother's right arm, trying to free him from Zims clutch as well.
"OH no no no. Michael DO NOT let go!" Exclaimed Clayton. Michael held onto his brother with all his might, but was slowly sliding with Clayton towards the dark side user. Suddenly the doors finally opened and there stood the cloaked woman who signaled the Mandalorians to stand back as she walked forward. Both Jayce and Zim looked at the cloaked woman. Eventually Zim let go of Clayton and Michael. Both boys got up and slowly, and back to the wall, not taking their eyes off their enemy.
"Who in the galaxy's name would've thought THAT YOU of all people would show.... Palpatine.." Zim swore as he stared daggers at the woman. The woman reached up to pull down her white cloak, revealing it be no other than Rey. "It's not Palpatine.. It's Rey Skywalker." Zim ignited his blade once more, getting into a fighting stance. "Far as I'm concerned, you're just known as a foolish traitor for what you did."
Jayce himself was no fool as he knew how powerful Rey was. Looking up, he moved to the side as a shuttle opened its docking floor as it hovered over the landing pad. "ZIM WE HAVE TO GO! NOW!" The Rodian looked to his partner and scoffed* "Only cowards run. Far as I'm concerned, that staff is mine, and I'll be the new Dark Lord. You, Rey, will be my first step to ascension to that title..."
Rey at this point took off her cloak and walked forward, in front of Clayton and Michael. "Hurry to your guards, okay? Everyone is going to be okay now" Smiled the Jedi. Both hesitant at first, nodded before moving to the exit. Rey kept her head turned to the boys, watching them scamper away. "Master Jedi watch out!" Warned a guard.
Holding up her left hand, Rey stopped a saber that was thrown her way. The saber stood perfectly still midair, still ignited. Turning her head to Zim, she flicked her wrist, sending the saber back to him. Zim caught his saber before standing once more to attack head on. "I believe that belongs to you. Clearly you must've dropped that saber on purpose" suggested Rey.
"Enough with these games Palpatine. Today is the day you fall" swore the Rodian. Rey reached to her side, igniting a yellow saber, before she took a stance herself. Looking calm as ever, Rey stayed focused on Zim. Both running forward, the battle had began.
The battle of Jedi and Sith.
