Percy's POV
Blood. That's all I can remember. We were in the middle of fighting the battle against Gaia when I heard a loud scream. I knew that voice. "ANNABETH!" I yelled and sliced the dracaena I was fighting in half, to sprint to her. The rest of the seven were already dead. Leo was drowned by a demigod who betrayed us. Piper had been burned to death by a cyclop's fireball, and Hazel was crushed by a laestrygonian giant. Someone had taken Franks stick and he collapsed, screaming in agony. Jason had multiple arrows sticking out of his head. I had already lost my parents and Estelle as well. I couldn't lose Annabeth too.
I finally found her laying in the grass with a poisoned dagger sticking out of her stomach. "Annabeth! Nononono! You'll make it please!" I muttered to her as she cringed in pain. "Percy. Don't. It's already too late for me. Move on! Find someone who will take care of you! Just promise me you will try to stay happy. For me, Seaweed brain." She said a she coughed up blood. "I-I can't! I can't live without you!" I screamed. "Try. I love you Seaweed brain." "I love you too Wise girl." I muttered as I saw the light left her eyes and I kissed her warm lips one last time. I stood up and my eyes glowed bright green. I screamed in agony and lunged at Gaia with Riptide in hand.
She screamed as I plunged it into her stomach and twisted. She begged and pleaded but I would not let her die. Finally, I let up and she disintegrated and floated away in a silver dust. At that moment, the campers finally saw through me. They gasped as they figured it out. Percy Jackson, Hero of Olympus, and their Camp Leader, was broken. Now the only thought that came to mind anymore was this. Why me.
Why does this chapter seem so short!?! Omg I wrote so few words. It seemed so much bigger in my head! 😂😂😂 I hope y'all enjoyed this first chappie! Next one coming out soon!
