2039, March 7th.

Y/N is in their police car, with their loyal partner Tristan Mitchell, with Y/N in the passengers seat and Tristan in the drivers seat. They were parked in a restaurant's parking lot, simply watching people pass by.

"When do you think this job is actually going to get exciting?" Tristan started abruptly, making Y/N look at him.

"I'd say... Never." Y/N answers, looking back out of the front window.

Tristan chuckles dryly, "Yeah, this job is gonna be the death of me-" A sudden voice from Tristan's radio cut him off.

"Mitchell, we've got a 945 at 'Freddy Fazbears Mega Pizzaplex', please get there as quickly as possible and check it out, we can't have any more missing people because of that place. I'll call for help so you can have a thorough search for the girl." The woman on the radio spoke quickly yet professionally, leaving no room for any words.

"On it," Tristan shuts off the radio and turns to Y/N, "well, it seems complaining can work in our favour."

"Just drive." Y/N says impatiently, causing Tristan to start the car and drive to the Pizzaplex, getting there as 2 other police cars catch up.

Tristan quickly parks in a parking spot, both him and Y/N exiting the car hurriedly. The two wait for the others, while they get out of their cars and rush over to them.

"Alright," Lincoln, the Sargent of Y/N's department starts, speaking clearly and efficiently, "all of us are going to check this place out, if we see any movement at all, be careful and investigate. There are rumours that the robots are still active, we can't lose anymore people to this hellhole. Got it?"

"Yes Sarg," Tristen mumbles tiredly, "how long is this going to take?" he crosses his arms, tapping his foot on the ground.

"As soon as we get that kid outta there, obviously. Now let's go! No wasting anymore time." Lincoln speaks loudly, running over to the entrance and attempting to get in, but with no success. He mumbles some swears to himself and sees some suspiciously placed wood and boxes leading to a large, broken window.

As Y/N follows Lincoln's gaze, a sudden dread washes over them, mumbling a few incoherent words to themself. They were about o speak up when Tristen spoke up for them;

"No way. We can't go through there! What if we get stuck?" He asks timidly, shifting on his legs awkwardly.

"We have to get that girl! Come on, you're supposed to be brave." Lincoln snaps back, already starting to climb up to the window.

Y/N huffs, feeling if their gun is still in their belt, which it was. They hesitantly followed their Sargent, making sure not to cut themselves on any loose wood or broken glass. Tristan mumbled some crap under his breath and followed, making the other officers follow suit.

Jumping down from the window frame, Y/N landed on top of what seemed to be an elevation, as they looked down, seeing the floor beneath them. Noticing Lincoln climb down a ladder and drop to the floor, Y/N did the same, going in front of what had elevated them, it was the main sign to the Pizzaplex. They gazed upon the sign and the rest of the foyer of the mall, it was in shambles; dust and mold everywhere, decay, cracks in everything, some areas even had been blocked from the roof and walls caving in. Anxiety rose in Y/N, noticing how dangerous this place really seemed to be. Y/N recalled something Lincoln had said earlier, 'the animatronics might still be active or something..' That didn't seem good in the slightest, especially since some of the performers were already aggressive before the whole destruction.

Y/N was snapped out of their thoughts when they noticed Tristan and the others walking away from them and toward the automatic gates to the rest of the Pizzaplex. They quickly caught up to their friend as he started talking;

"So, d'you think those dumb robots are still active or nah?" Tristan tried to ask in a mock-confident way, but his tone was dripping with fear, he was fidgeting with his keys which were attached to his belt, making a slight jingle which annoyed Y/N slightly.

"Who knows? Fazbear probably just fled after the earthquake and didn't bother about the animatronics. So now, they're just waiting for us... Lurking in the shadows, waiting to feast on our flesh..." Y/N made their tone deeper near the end, giving Tristan a look of dread. Despite the playfulness in Y/N's words, they couldn't help but be scared themself. What if the animatronics are still active and wanting to hurt them? That thought just couldn't get out of their head. God, how they hoped the performers weren't active.

Y/N could hear a faint whimper from Tristen as he accidentally kicked the head of a broken S.T.A.F.F bot, making its lifeless body shift and its head to detach. That gave Y/N a little bit of hope, if the S.T.A.F.F bots were down, the main animatronics probably were too.

"Alright you guys, I'd say we split up," Lincoln started as he named off the officers by their last names, "and finally, L/N and Mitchell, you two can go check out the daycare."

The... Daycare? Where Y/N used to work? Y/N gulped, looking over at their buddy in uncertainty. They never really told anyone that they used to work at the Pizzaplex, in the daycare, they just thought it was embarrassing, considering the fact they were a cop. Plus, they didn't need to be reminded of the countless hours of cleaning up the ball pit in that hellhole.

While Y/N had a look of dread, Tristan had a look of what seemed to be joy, practically jumping up and down like a puppy finding its new owner. Tristan looked over at Y/N, smiling, quickly grabbing their arm and dragging them away to the daycare.

"Why are you so happy?" Y/N asked, pulling their arm away from him and walking beside him, pulling out a flashlight so they could see where they were going.

"Because! It's a daycare! It seems like a rather safe place, even if it is probably in shambles." Tristan answered truthfully, looking at his friend.
That reason did make sense, it actually reassured Y/N a little bit. They smiled softly, thinking the daycare might not actually be that bad. Tristan looks away as a light blush paints his pale cheeks, making Y/N confused, but not question him.

The two eventually made it past the photo booths and into the main pick-up area. Oddly, there were a ton of endoskeletons, most looking off. Despite that, Y/N kept a close eye on them, even when working there, the endos were always... Odd.

Passing randoms walls and the gift shop, Y/N had barely recognized the place anymore. The slide into the daycare was ruined and everything just looked completely trashed. A gut feeling told Y/N to stop, to not go in there, but they had one job to do. Find the girl and get out...
