"Three weak strings and a shabby pole!?" Tyler scoffed when he caught on to [M/n]'s plan. [M/n] rolled his eyes again. "Maybe not but it'll give us enough time for me and [M/n] to make a run for it," Ashlyn said as the [hair color] boy worked. He quickly tied the strings together and around the pole. "You guys go." She said.
No one moved. The phantoms were still running after them, now going over the balcony fences to get to them. 'They know how to climb' Yin noted in her head. [M/n] gritted his teeth as he glared at everyone. "Get going!" he demanded.
Tyler made a sound of disagreement but he grabbed Tay's hand. Logan, Tay, Tyler, and Yin bolted to the door. [M/n] handed one side of the string to Ben. "Tie this around handle." He spoke. Ben was sweating and confused, the thumping of the phantom's feet getting louder but he managed to tie the string around the door handle.
Ashlyn and Aiden helped tie the string around and secure it. Their minds were racing as they quickly finished. Once it was done, they ran. The other phantoms were already turning the corner, and the strings SNAPPED releasing the phantom in the room, to the outside.
"Hurry!" [M/n] demanded as they ran to the other room. He quickly thought of something, anything that could slow the phantom down. He spotted the cleaning cart that was in front of them. [My arm still works.] [M/n] thought, opening and closing his prosthetic hand. His [eye color] eyes met with Ashlyn's green ones.
There was a moment, a single thought that was shared. No words were said as the two ran faster to the cart. "Aiden, Ben! Move!" [M/n] bit his lip as he and Ashlyn slammed the cart into the phantom. It seemed to weaken the phantom before it made eye contact with [M/n].
Shivers went down his spine as his body started to tremble.
His gaze hardened as he saw the phantom try to grab Ashlyn's hand. [M/n] yanked her away as a flash of yellow and grey caught the edge of his eyes. "You know..." It was Aiden. He had grabbed the arm of the phantom, grabbing a bottom of cleaning chemicals, holding it to the phantom's head like a gun. "This could be fun." He said with a grin.
His eyes held both anger and insanity. He pulled the trigger, spraying the chemicals onto the phantom.

The screech filled the apartment as both Ashlyn and [M/n] covered their ears. The scream was so loud, it was hurting their eardrums. "[Fuck- it's so loud..]" [M/n] spoke softly. Ashlyn was covering her ears but she looked at Aiden and called out to him. "Aiden, come on!" She said but Aiden disagreed. "I think we can take 'em! There are more bottles-" But [M/n] grabbed his arm. "No!" The others said, clearly panicking since the other phantoms would soon catch up to them.
Aiden grumbled but ended up agreeing and ran with them to where the rest of the teenagers were. Logan peeked his head out of the door, Tyler standing next to him. "I see them!" Logan said as the four ran with the phantoms chasing them. They made it to the door, quickly shutting it. This time, they made sure to lock it.
[M/n] and the others tried to catch their breaths. [M/n]'s back was firmly pressed to the wall as the others relaxed. He felt a thud against the door; the phantoms were trying to get in. He huffed, glaring at the door as if he could see the phantoms. "Barricade the door," Yin ordered, [M/n] nodding along.
