The beginning of the year was a little tough because Aaron had moved over the summer and it would be the first year without him at our school. Jr. High was pretty cool because I just enjoyed not having a teacher right behind me making sure I'm doing the right thing. It always just bugged me that my teacher didn't trust me to be good just walking down the hall to go to the bathroom. So the freedom I really enjoyed. But another thing I liked was the sports teams. I was on the soccer team from the start and wanted to do a lot more of them but swimming did not gibe me enough time.
In October of fifth grade life went down hill again my grandma I hardly get to see because she lives 10 states away came down with cancer. We left school to spend a week with her and she eventually died when we were going out to get carry out. That was the worst day of my life.
After a while I got over her and just tried to focus on school, swimming, and my social life. So by the end of February I made it to state and I had to focus mainly on swimming. which was hard because I had the state tests and my birthday the week of state. It wasn't the best meet but I was able to say I went to state.
