"This is good," Jimin said through a mouthful of food.
Yoongi nodded. "Best sushi I've ever tasted."
Jisoo had taken them to a Japanese restaurant, told them to order whatever they wanted, and sat there watching them eat.
Jungkook sat next to Jisoo. He watched her. Her reddish-purple hair fell down to her waist, and she pushed her straw up and down absentmindedly, her brown eyes sparkling.
"Oh shoot," Jisoo mumbled. "We've got to go." She stood up suddenly.
"Why?" Taehyung asked. He seemed enchanted by her graceful, effortless movements.
(As you can tell, this story will probably have a love triangle. I don't know. I don't think ahead that much.)
"Sana and Tzuyu," Jisoo hissed, glaring at something across the room, sitting down again.
Too late.
Two girls walked over, sneering. "Hey, Jisoo," one said. "How's life?"
"Hi Sana, Tzuyu," Jisoo said coldly.
"I see you only just progressed to the making friends stage with boys," Tzuyu sneered. "Honestly, no one will ever say that you're better than us if you don't have a-"
Jisoo's hand landed on Jungkook's, and entwined her fingers with his. "Tzuyu, I'm already better than you because your observation skills stink. This is Jungkook. He's my boyfriend."
She said this last word with a tiny trace of hesitation. Sana, Tzuyu, and the rest of BTS (the name of the mafia gang) eyes popped out of their heads.
"Oh my gawd, Tzuyu, he's... hot." Sana squeaked.
Tzuyu didn't even appear to notice that Sana had spoken. Instead, she curled a lock of short brown hair around her finger, and started flirting with Jungkook.
Jisoo stood up from her seat, her hand still in Jungkook's, and she said coolly, "We have to go. Come on," she added to Jimn, Jin, Hobi, Namjoon, Yoongi, and Tae.
The boys followed her obediently. They got into her car, a white Tesla, but Jisoo and Jungkook stayed outside.
"There's only seven seats," Jisoo said apologetically. "Jungkook, you can drive. I'll walk."
"But-no, Jisoo, you can drive, I'll walk." Jungkook said. Jin groaned. "How about you both walk? I'll drive."
Jisoo and Jungkook looked at each other and shrugged. "Okay."
The Tesla took off down the road at a medium pace. Jisoo and Jungkook faced each other. "Umm..."
Jungkook finally got enough courage to speak. "So, um, what do you do for a living? I mean, you seem really rich, so..."
Jisoo shrugged. "I'm a kpop trainee. My house is one that YG gave to me, because my group, BLACKPINK, is debuting in a few months. My training days are technically over, so YG has started paying me."
"Okay," Jungkook said. "Who else is in your group?"
"Lisa Manoban, Park Chaeyoung, we call her Rose, and Kim Jennie."
"And didn't you say you were a spy?"
"Yeah. It's double work. It's okay, though, I like being busy," Jisoo said thoughtfully as they walked.
"Oh, um, I forgot this." Jisoo pulled something out of her pocket. "I'm paying you, remember? To be my fake boyfriend."
She handed over a wad of hundred dollar bills.
Jungkook took it without thinking. They walked in silence for a few minutes, and then they reached the house. The tesla was already parked.
Jisoo pressed her index finger to the fingerprint scanner and the door opened.
Jin, Jimin, and the others were already inside.
"Okiiiiii, people, I'mma show you to your rooms." Jisoo said, skipping up the stairs. "That one's Jimin's, that one's Taehyung's..."
Finally only Jungkook and Jisoo were left in the hallway.
"This one's yours," Jisoo said, pushing open the door.
The walls were painted cozy apple green, with a thick comforter on the bed and fluffy pillows. There was a desk in one corner, and framed photos of Jisoo and three other girls.
"If you don't like something I can change it," Jisoo said sincerely.
Jungkook gazed at the room, mesmerized. "It's... perfect. Too nice for some... lowly person like me, compared to you." He lowered his eyes to the floor.
Jisoo shifted, standing in front of him. "Look at me, Jungkook," she said softly. Jungkook raised his gaze. "Stop thinking like that. You're perfect. There are people out there who would be willing to kill for a home. Just because you needed help doesn't make you lowly, okay?"
Jungkook nodded.
Jisoo smiled. "Make yourself comfortable."
She left.
Jisoo POV
I secretly took a picture of his face with my phone, and when I left his room, I studied it. Gods, he was so cute.
His big brown eyes shimmered, his cute bunny smile was beautiful.
Only one other person had ever looked at me like Jungkook did...
Ahn Bho hyun...
I pushed thoughts of that man out of my head and concentrated fully on Jungkook's handsome face. I smiled like a teenage girl looking at her crush.
Wait, crush?
A/N POV
Jisoo stared at Jungkook's face on her phone. I've got a crush on you?
Jungkook POV
The memory of Jisoo's sweet smile imprinted itself on my brain.
Only one other person had made me feel this way before.
Han So Hee.
I pushed her out of my mind and thought about Jisoo.
Her sweet smile, her chocolate eyes, her heart shaped lips.
She's a spy. Reality closed in on Jungkook. I'm a mafia leader. Am I really fake dating a spy?
He felt like a boy thinking about who his crush liked.
Wait. CRUSH?
He traced his thoughts back to Jisoo.
I... like her?
