Our tale begins in 18th century London, after the execution of the so called "Thief-Taker General" leaving behind no kind of police force in the overpopulated city.
The government's opinion is slowly shifting to the acceptance of a police force, yet the people of London do not want one, and so, the slums are filled with criminals running rampant, highwaymen, thiefs, smugglers, none are stopped, but amongts them stood out one.
A mysterious woman going by the name of Violet announces that she Will marry the one man capable of opening her front door with the key, which she has put on a necklace around the neck of a beautiful Cat which wanders the Slums.
Many men, criminals of all kinds, begun chasing the Cat throught the streets of London, firing their flintlock pistols, swinging their sabres, cornering It, overwhelming It with sheer manpower, bounties were placed on the Cat by the strongest of men, many even ended Up Killing each other over the Cat, and still, the Cat escaped, It was too intelligent, too fast...
Until one man came along, that is...
