Tria Hale just wants to graduate in peace, without any of the trouble she was usually prone to get into.

But there's a murderer on the loose, and for some reason Tria is one of the target victims.

All it took was one drunken night and a simple robbery for things to spiral out of Tria's control, and she has no way to stop it. Why was the hitman of the city's most feared crime lord seeking her out? Why was everyone inquiring about her mother - who was a prostitute - when Tria hadn't so much as seen her in years?

And why do they keep insisting that her mother should have killed her?

'The Tales of Flesh and Blood' is the first part of a series currently undergoing its initial drafting stages. It is a bloody, violent tale about a girl who is thrown into a shady world of supernatural things - more specifically, giants - and has to deal with the consequences of just simply knowing what's out there.

I haven't decided if the first two books should be set aside as prequels to the main series, as the genre is really hard to pinpoint. The main plot of the overall series is probably closer to a dystopian-fantasy mix. However, this particular story simply hints at there being something more in a modern day setting until the end.

I honestly have no idea what genre to put this under. Think of the setting you would have with modern day vampire or werewolf stories. Something like that, but the focus isn't on vampires or werewolves. It's about giants.

So for now, I'll put this under action, but just know that it's not the typical action story. The world is set in a universe I made up, inspired by real-world dealings.

With that out of the way, this story is marked mature. Themes such as torture, abuse, assault and sexual assault - but not rape - are explored, with some being experienced by the MC. It's about a seventeen year old girl that lives in a shady apartment, whose mother is a prostitute.

Read at your own discretion. I'll put warnings where I can, just keep in mind that this story is like going down the rabbit hole; the violence gets worse the further you go.

You've been warned :)

~ PS: I used to have this story up on my other account, EAB2003 . I put it here because I've decided that I'd like to have all stories that fall under the same universe in one spot, and I'm more active on this account. Hell, just let me know if you're going over to that account to confirm and I'll gladly hop over there to do it. I didn't have it up very long (I took it down for editing purposes) so I don't expect too much trouble, but if this book seems familiar, that's probably why.
