Barely a year has passed since Tria came face-to-face with giants, and the memory has all but left her in pieces. Now her goal is to simply get through the memories, but that was easier said than done when the King of Gallin promised to be in contact and she hasn't so much as heard a peep from him.

Until she did.

What should have been a simple night out with old friends turned into a messy bloodbath, and now Tria has to figure out a way to keep the people lurking in the shadows from focusing on Hadi, her closest friend/mother figure.

Haunted by vicious dreams at night and plagued by memories during the day, Tria has to wonder what will kill her first: the hopelessness wreaking havoc inside her mind or the monsters of legend suddenly come to life.

So the sequel is up! It's so strange - I started this book when I was about twelve, thirteen years old, and it's just . . . Man. It took me a damn long time to finish (I was seventeen), and then it just sorta sat there for about a year or two. Fair warning, I don't know how long the second one will take me.

Honestly, when I first wrote this, it was just supposed to be about a teenaged girl trying to figure out what to do with her life. The subtle magic and giants did not come along until later, when I decided to mess with the reasoning as to why Tria's mom abandoned her.

For this second book, I'm going to try sticking to the same theme. This one will have a little more answers - okay, a lot more - concerning the giants and shed some light on Tria's . . . family . . . but I'm aiming to focus on how Tria is handling it all. A bit of back-and-forth between the lore and her mental health. I do not plan to go full-out fantasy until the third book, *maybe* towards the end of the second. Who knows. That may change.
