I stood outside the big doors that led to the ballroom . The knot that had disappeared suddenly came back and this time it was worse. I looked at lydia who gave me a reassuring smile but I knew she was scared as I was " your highness, it's time for you to go ahead without us" she said those words that I was afraid of hearing , my heart raced faster than the beating drums . I looked at lydia leaving and immediately the ballroom doors were opened , I started in , I kept my gaze low but I could feel all the eyes on me , some mummering about the prince and some other this . I walked up to mother who gave me a bright smile but also sad like how I was , she didn't have a say in anything father said and I couldn't blame her my greedy father only listened to himself , I bowed to show respect to the king and queen and I took a seat at the enormous dining table and still all eyes were on me " The prince of Devon has arrived " a guard spoke to have all eyes glued to the doors as they flew open mine as well I knew as a princess I wasn't allowed to look at my husband but my curiosity got the best of me and slowly looked at the door . A tall , muscular man walked in the scent that followed him inside made my heart beat restlessly , his eyes that had a living flame , he was the same mysterious man who saved my life early! He wasn't the devil , was he!? All jaws were dropped cause everyone expected a 40 year old man with horns and a tail but it was the exact opposite of what we expected . He walked elegantly to where father was lightly bowed , this man didn't care less if he disrespected him . Okay my father deserved it . The handsome prince took a seat next to mine still keeping my gaze low , he didn't say a word " rude wasn't he supposed to introduce himself to me " I said to myself
