Have you ever read an 'x reader' fanfic so good that you forget you were reading an 'x reader' fanfic for a sec? Well that's how I felt reading "Ghost" a Trigun x reader fanfic.
After the Trigun reboot (?), Vash the Stampede, people seem to love how well the studios handle the stories old and new fans alike. And of course they were well drawn and extremely hot and extremely cute (Vash I'm looking at you). After stumbling upon them multiple times on tiktok I thought to myself
'Gawd Vash is totally my type, imma read fanfics about him!'
After venturing lemony oneshots after lemony oneshots on ao3, they're mostly fine, just really Mid- nothing that would really stay within my memories. But then, idk what happened or how it happened, perhaps I searched 'Vash x reader' in Wattpad and stumble myself upon one little(?) story that seem to caught my interest.
" 'Ghost',huh, this is probably angsty for real..."
Well, I read it and it's been good. An I don't know how fanfic gods do this, but none of the characters feel OOC, and I as me doesn't feel out of place within the whole story. I really really love the lore of the OG story are wrapped around within you in a way that's both unique to itself while also referencing both the 90's and the new Vash.
It has a lot of chapters, which took me quite a while to catch up on the latest, I also thought the story was already completed so I was scared that the story wasn't updated for years but gladly the author is still active, just quite busy with uni and irl stuff, thank gods.
After catching up, I reached out to Goddess MelindaBlair19 if ever I could make a fanart out of it. She gladly said yes, and was by far the most comfortable conversation I had been. (Perhaps it because I rarely even reach out to people, lol).
I have no idea why she used my half-assed drawing but I'm also really glad she did, like, what a privilege for that piece to be used like that. Thanks Goddess. Your fanfics are one of the best ! Hope you have a great day! May Lady Luck be by your side(｡･ω･｡)ﾉ♡
