"So what am I to do while I am here?" Kanato asked

Serena shrugged. "I don't know but I think if you just sleep here for a day you'll find out why you were sent here for. Once you figure it out come find me and we'll do something about it so you can go back to where you belong."

"What if I don't want that?" Kanato asked as he tilted his head to the side slightly

She rose an eyebrow at him. "...Do you want to stay here?"

He shrugged. "I don't know, I want to see how different this place is from the one I'm used to then I'll decide."

"Uh...Alright then. Its about to be sun rise so why don't you get some sleep Kanato and we can talk in the evening after I serve miss bitchy pants." Serena said standing up

"Is she always so rude to you?"

Serena sighed. "Yes unfortunately. Ever since she found out I was her mentor she's made her butler and has become utterly lazy."

"Then don't do anything for her tomorrow, let her deal with her own life, if you're only supposed to be her mentor then show her that you aren't going to deal with her nonsense anymore."

She nodded her head before she stretched a little. "Alright, now we both need sleep. I'll see you in the evening Kanato Sakamaki. Rest well and may dreams of peace wash over you." She said before she left

Once she closed the door she went to her own room which was slightly off of the house in a shed type place. The place only held a bed and a small dresser. She slept only for a few hours before she heard a knock on the shed door. She got up tiredly before she saw her own boss.

"Did he show?" A tall dark haired male asked

"Yeah and she's already treating him like shit." Serena said with a sigh

"You know what you must do so make sure it gets done." The male said seriously

"Yeah yeah...Now can I sleep. Unlike you I can't be up in daylight hours." She said seriously

"Of course."

She then slammed the door and she went face first into her pillow. She knocked out before she realized the fact that Kanato, who hadn't slept was watching over her. He didn't like how Malta was treating her 'friend' or the fact that she even called Serena that. She was treating her worse that her mother and father treated him and that was pretty poorly. He went back inside and he roamed around finding out as much as he could on his own about the place he was stuck in for who the hell knows how long.

When the night came around again Serena did just as Kanato told her to, just because she was sick of being used plus she needed to speak with him. She found him sitting on the ledge of one of the porches, so she sat beside him and leaned against a poll as she did.

"Sleep at all Kanato?" Serena asked curiously

He shrugged. "A bit but not much, being here is so strange. I don't think I'll get used to it...even though I have to." He said sadly

"What do you mean?" Serena asked

"You and Malta are like heaven and hell. One will lead be back home one of you will keep me bound here forever. But which is which I don't know, my dreams never told me...which is odd since I don't ever dream. I only have nightmares of my past." Kanato said as he held his bear tightly

She sighed and closed her eyes. "Good luck with that, no pun intended in this...Everyone has their demons inside. Just you gotta find out what it is. I'll tell you this much in Malta its killing her siblings for trying to leave her and burning her father to ashes because he had called her a stupid bitch."
