DISCLAIMER: 1. There is some mentions of the horror movie along with the original series. I completely understand people's issue with this movie, however I enjoy all appearances of The Banana Splits. Of course, it will never have the same charm as the original and I acknowledge that. The OG TBS is my favorite as well, I just see the movie as some cheesy alternate universe. I don't take it seriously and that's what's fun about it.
2. My ideas may change at times and there's lots of edits through this. I'm a creator, yes, but I'm still growing and adapting my works. Certain changes may be made from time to time. That's okay, it's life.
With that out of the way, here are the things I have planned.

The Banana Splits: Idols This part is related to my AU, so I'll keep this short and simple. I'm making a TBS fan cartoon following the adventures of both the original cast and the new recruits. They're a band and that's definitely an aspect of the story, but the show isn't entirely based around that, they have their own adventures, fight monsters... Etc. The Banana Splits: Idols is a modernized version of TBS that takes lots of inspiration from Regular Show in terms of humor, style, and atmosphere. The main story features around Fleegle, Drooper, Bingo, Snorky, Jet, Blair, Hoover, and Sabrina. Jet and Blair are my OCs. Hoover and Sabrina both belong to two of my besties, and I might add onto this list later since I'm really eager to include friends in this project. A few of my other friends have OCs in the making, so I'll be sure to add them soon !!
Please keep in mind this is a fan project that is a silly goof among some friends. I am NOT profiting off of this and I do NOT plan to.

The Banana Splits x Reader oneshots: I know some of you absolutely adore at least one of these guys, I do too ! Drooper, my beloved. 🫶
I want my x readers to be really inclusive with their "Y/N" character, meaning I may write multiple stories to fit different needs or make some via request or something like that. Obviously, I'll still do the *insert character* x female reader stuff, but I'm open to writing other stuff as well to make some of you guys feel more represented if you'd like ! :D
After all, The Splits have enough love for everyone to go around !!

Jet's Lore: This one isn't too important compared to the others, Jet is just my silly persona/OC. But it seems from other posts I've seen that OCs and fan characters are very valued in this fandom. So, if anyone wants to learn more about her, I can happily explain some things !!
Her reference description was intended to be similar to the official Banana Splits wiki articles, a bit vague, but generally informational. Yet as with the canon cast, there is more to her than meets the eye.
Originally she had no place in my AU, which I think I stated here, but oh well, things change ! LOL

The Movie Drooper Theory: (!!SPOILER WARNING!!) This is solely based on the movie, so you can skip this part if you'd like, but it's something I found very interesting. I first noticed this while watching the Dead Meat kill count for the movie. In that video, James A. Janisse said Andy's reasoning for cancelling the show seemed like something he made up on the spot. Ironically, this is when they were standing right outside the door where Drooper was being updated. Stevie later in the movie, made a comment on how Drooper's update apparently didn't work, sarcastically letting Drooper know that he wasn't surprised. There's a lot of reasons Drooper may have needed an update or reboot of some sort, however Karl chose to give it to him at that time, due to Harley almost being hit and automatically blaming Drooper, even though he wasn't there to actually see it. This leads me to theorize that the show was actually cancelled because of something Drooper's done and he was a safety hazard. (No hate to Drooper of course, I adore the lil floofball either way. 💞)
I'm going to look for more evidence to back this up before I go and pull a full on MatPat where I explain every single detail, but yeah, that's something !!
