XXII

*Third Person POV*

"Everybody, I'd like to introduce you to my girlfriend Maya." Colby says with a wide grin on his face looking up at his girlfriend.

She holds her small smile as she looks up to the crowd who has already erupted in cheers, whoops and hollers, and whistles. Sam slapped his hands on her shoulders, rubbing out her nerves, trying to be the best supportive friend to her.

As people either went back to partying or coming up to the couple, Colby helped Maya step down from the chair. She faces him with a smile on her face, "I can't believe you did that."

He chuckles, "You deserve to be shown off Maya. I want to be able to show off my woman." He pulls her in for a sweet kiss with his hand under her chin and the other on her waist while hers were on his chest. Although she was a little upset that Colby did the one thing she didn't want tonight, she couldn't help but feel relieved. Like it was a lift off her shoulders.

Once they separate, Maya feels a tap on her shoulder. She turns to see Tara with the most excited expression on her face.

"I should've known it was you behind the bar! I mean, Colby never showed me a picture of you but he did say you were a crafty bartender. It's so nice to finally meet you! I'm Tara." The small girl brings Maya into a tight squeeze making Maya laugh.

"It's so nice to meet you too!" Maya says as the girls release from their hug.

"Colby, I can't believe you've been hiding her all this time!"

"Woah woah, I was not hiding her. I was simply enjoying being in love with the most beautiful girl on the planet." He says wrapping his arms around Maya from behind and attacking her with kisses.

After meeting a few more people, Kat pulled Maya away from Colby to introduce her to Stas.

"Maya, this is Stas. Stas, meet Maya." The girls say their 'hellos' hugging each other.

"Okay, I'm going to say I'm sorry right off the bat. I was totally judging you earlier when you were serving Colby a drink. I saw some really intense staring and flirting and I thought you were just a bartender. But now I know that you were, well you, I just wanted to say sorry." Stas explains as the girls hold each others forearms so they can be closer to speak since the music came back on.

Maya laughs at what Stas told her. "Girl, it's totally fine."

"No, I was for real going to call him out on his bullshit because I knew he had a girlfriend and I was like 'why the fuck is he flirting with the bartender'." The three girls laugh in unison. "Well, thank you for having my back even without knowing me. I appreciate that."

"Oh don't worry. I'm a girls girl, so if Colby ever messes up, he's got another thing coming."

Just as if his ears were ringing, Colby waltzes over, slinging his arm around Maya's shoulder. "What are you ladies talking about?"

"Oh, you know, how Stas will kick your ass if you ever hurt Maya. And I second that!" Kat says.

Colby puts his hand to his chest with his jaw dropped like he was offended, "Girls, after all we've been through. You would turn your back on me so quickly?!"

"YES!" The girls yell.

Colby dropped the act rolling his eyes. "Well there's nothing for you guys to worry about," he wraps both arms around Maya's waist from behind, bringing her into his chest, and resting his head on her shoulder, "I plan on loving this girl and this girl only 'til the end of time." Maya blushes crinkling her face at his corniness.

"Let me get you a drink," he whispers in Maya's ear.

"Babe, I'm suppose to be working," Maya whines not wanting to return to the bar counter as she turns to face him.
