So the actual reason why Jisung survived was because someone else died in his place. So let's say Jisung's countdown time increased. He now has the amount of time that the man does to live... did you guess this correctly?
And you might wonder- someone did die in Jisung's place before too- so why did death come after Jisung right after Minho died?
But the thing is, the man who died in Jisung's place the first time was also supposed to die that night- precisely around the point after Hyunjin's death. The man was choking already when he died due to the exploding microwave- so this is why the pattern was disrupted and hence Minho was confused as well since it wasn't Jisung who died after Hyunjin.
And yes, all the deaths were connected in some way to Minho's dream- The lights also plays a major role as it just makes you FEEL like something is going to go wrong...
