Hullo my loves and welcome back for more destiel. This one is going to be about Cas' wings but other than that I'm not sure where it's going to go so join me for the ride! I hope you enjoy:)
Dean knew Cas had wings, of course the angel had wings, most angels have wings. However, Dean had only seen glimpses of them, in shadows and once very briefly out of the corner of his eye during a hunt. Other than that, Cas was very secretive about his wings, even with Dean. Granted, they hadn't really talked about whatever it was that was going on between them, but Dean hated being kept in the dark especially by Cas. Which was exactly what was going on right now. The angel had taken over a room in the bunker, the one across from Dean's, and had refused to come out for two days now. Dean was of course worried beyond the point of reason.
"Dean, he will be fine if we are gone for the day" Sam stated after finding a potential case nearby
"You don't know that Sammy" Dean insisted, being his normal stubborn self
"If your that dead set on staying, I will go by myself, but I'm taking the car" Sam bargained
"Fine, just be nice to her" Dean relented after a conflicted look crossed his face
Sam raised an eyebrow at his brother, but took the keys to the Impala and threw his bag over his shoulder, heading for the door to the garage, he looked back at Dean over his shoulder, who had turned and was walking in the direction of his room. Sam wondered when Dean would realize the feelings he had toward Cas weren't so platonic.
Dean was about to head into his room, when he heard a loud crash from the room Cas had taken over, and then a groan. His worry about the angel had somehow doubled now and he debated what to do. Cas had asked to not be bothered but Dean couldn't help the nagging feeling that something was going on and the Angel needed support. Dean stood in front of the door for a moment before knocking three times and waiting for a response, getting nothing but silence in return.
"Cas?" Dean asked, knocking again
Another smaller crash could be heard from inside the room, increasing the panic Dean was feeling. He twisted the door knob to find it unlocked.
"Cas I'm coming in" Dean said loud enough to be heard before opening the door just a crack and peeking in
Dean was not prepared for the sight before him, the angel sat, his back to the door, shirt off and wings spread almost from one side of the room to the other. Cas' trench coat, tie, shirt and belt as well as his shoes were strewn across the room, making for quite the site. Dean inhaled sharply, as he took a good look at the angels wings, seeing feathers misplaced, and broken. Cas turned when he heard the intake of breath, his undereyes dark and the normal wrinkles around his eyes deeper.
"Hello Dean" Cas said, his tone nothing like it's normal
"Cas? What's wrong?" Dean asked, slowly approaching, now completely in awe of the wings that he had scarcely ever seen
The angel was quiet for a moment, turning back to face his front, avoiding eye contact. Dean made his way to be infront of the brunette, who still refused to look at anywhere but the floor. After a moment, the hunter crouched to be eye level, practically forcing the other man to look at him. Cas' blue eyes were filled with pain, and exhaustion.
"What happened?" Dean asked softly
"I was attacked, by some angels" Cas informed
"Other angels did this to you?" Dean was in shock, as he now saw other scrapes and marks across the angels chest
Cas didn't answer, he simply nodded, causing Dean's heart to clench in his chest.
"I broke a lamp, I'm sorry" Cas said before Dean could say anything
