26: The prison

The next day....

Gregory's POV:

Me and Evan managed to infiltrated the prison. It had massive security, like a bunch of animatronics as guards and human guards to get through. But we just teleported into the building without alerting the guards. We were in a supply closet, and I rolled up my sleeve to reveal my robotic arm. I tapped on the screen on it and the hologram popped up. It was the layout of the prison.

" I need to get into there, the hard drive room. You need to distract the guards, do you have the disguise?" I ordered Evan and he nodded. 

Evan opened the door and made sure the coast was clear. He had his disguise and he had his fake glasses on. He looked ridiculous, but at least he can blend in. Evan signaled for me that the coast is clear. We started to walk through the halls of the prison, there were so many rooms in this place. I saw there was experiment rooms, control rooms, techno rooms, and a lot of rooms of experimentation. 

This reminded me about my past and Evan started to notice I was shaking. " It's okay, no one is going to hurt you. This is not the same facility that hurt you, this is different, " Evan soothed me and I nodded. I stopped shaking, then I pulled up the map. Then as we turned, I saw people there, Evan went to distract them. I used my powers to hack the power system as Evan was talking with them. I turned off the light above them and I run for it. 

I have to do the rest on my own, I saw some vents as I looked at the map. I took off the vent cover and I climbed into it. I closed it and I started to crawl in the vents. There were a lot of turns and twists in this ventilation shaft. I looked through the covers when I needed to like when there are guards. I need to stop and covered my mouth. I don't want to be caught by the guards. Most of them were animatronics. So I need to get to the place I need to get to. 

After many, many, many, many turns and twists. I made it to lowest level and I dropped quietly onto the floor. I had my comm on my ear and I tapped on it. " I made it to the cells level where all the victims are. This is where the hard drive is, " I reported to Evan and Evan heard what I said. " Good, but I know you want to help them. But we will, eventually. For now, you need to get that room, " Evan ordered me, I hung up on the comm system. 

I walked through the cells like in my visions. I could hear the screams, the cries and loud sounds. I put my headphones over my ears and I put some music, but not full blasted. I looked around, I saw a lot of prisoners. I walked up to one of them, I saw it was a mother and a child. The child was untouched, but the mother was wounded. " Don't come near me and my child, " the woman yelled at me, and I took off my jacket because it was fucking hot in this lower level. I tied the sleeves to my waist and I saw them my left arm. 

" I was experimented too, but not here. Somewhere else, " I explained to the woman and she stared at me. " You are the I.V's vessel, that Rose-Adam. You changed, " the woman said and I was confused. " Who are you and how do you know me? I mean the whole town knows me because of my last name. But I never anyone told anyone about my code, " I explained to the woman and I started to get flashbacks about the facility. I put my hand on my forehead, and I stared at the woman. " Who are you?" I asked again.

She sighed, " My name is Valerie Adams, " she introduced herself and I remembered her. She worked at that facility as Fable's caretaker. She was nice too, but she was fired because she tried to get Fable out of there. She is my mama's sister, " What happened, what did Vince do? I didn't think he will take it this far, " I asked to my aunt. She sighed and she held her child, " He kidnapped me and my son, but he didn't want to hurt my son for some reason. But he only took some blood from me and the guards sometimes will beat me. I did everything to protect my child from the monster of your cousin. He changed, you need to get out of here, Gia. You know that, but why are you not leaving?"

I looked around as I sighed, " I am here to steal the hard drive back. It's the only weapon that I can use to stop Vince and the M.I.M.I.C code. It's our best shot, me and my team is going to save you and the other prisoners. But I want to now, but Evan said for my safety. We need to get the heard drive first, " I answered to my aunt's question. She gave me a weak smile, " You are just like your mothers, Vanessa and Lily. You really changed, Gia. You really changed, I think this Evan is right. You are more important, you are the key anyway."

I was shocked she knew I was the key to stopping Vince. " How?"

" Magic ability runs in the family, Gia. Always been, I foresaw you are going to be great. Your mom saw that in you too, " my aunt explained to me and I started to cry. 

" I-I wish I c-could save y-you and everyone else. I-In this fucking prison, " I cried and my aunt got up and she put one of her hands out of the bars. She wiped my tears, " Me too, but you need to stop Vince first, Gia. You are our only hope, I am glad you changed your name to Gregory. It's means to be watchful, you were very watchful and aware of your surroundings. You are perfect, I told your mothers that you didn't to be protected all your life. And now look how far you've got, I need you to get that hard drive. I heard guards talked about it, you need it. I have a child to protect, and now it's your turn to protect people like our family did. Now go, Gia, before they find you, " my aunt warned me and I ran to find the room.

I didn't covered my ears this time. I need to find this room, fast. I turned the corner and, I saw there were guards. I used my disc to turn invisible and I sneak past them. Then I saw a big door and I saw there were animatronics guards. I used my powers to put them out of power, then they all fell with a thud. I need to hack the keypad and I turned visible. I started to hack into the system and then I was in. The door opened and I slowly started to walk into the room. It was like my vision, there was water on the floors with electricity. There were floating stairs going up to a glass platform. I knew there will be a lot of security in this room and I used all my powers to shut all of them down.

Then all the light of the room turned off and it was all off. I started to walk up the stairs as I was walking I could heard the muffled screams and cries. I kept walking up the floating stairs and I saw it. The hard drive, it was just floating there. When I made it to the platform and it look like the same hard drive in my dream. I reached for it and it came to me. It landed onto my hand and it turned into the same glass hologram rose. Then my wings started to glowing on fire and all my symbols are glowing brighter. Then it turned into the same necklace and then it landed on my neck. 

I tapped the comm, " I got it, we can get out of here now, " I said to Evan. 

" Okay, you need to get out of there, " Evan told to me and I did. I teleported out of the room and the prison. Now I have to wait for Evan now.

VIПᄃΣ's POV:

" The hard drive is missing, " Onyx said and I slammed my hand on my desk. " What, how?" I demanded, trying to keep my calm. " Well, the prison got hacked by something or someone, " They explained quickly and I knew who it was. Two people to be exact. I thought I was so ahead, but they outsmarted me. " Plan B, now, " I ordered and I never wanted to use that plan. But I have to now.
