Dagger

So. How do you properly start a story? With an action scene, a romantic scene, a jumps care, or just the characters doing their thing. Either way, as long as you can catch the audience attention, and keep their interest in the story, then your sold.

This? Well, this is as good as an opening to a story you can get, especially when the writer is a teenager with little to no writing experience and a-OW! What the hell?! Alright, alright! Geez!

I'm currently sitting at the back of a bus, my head against the window while thinking of putting a tracker on someone. The bus had three other passengers with me, a mom and her son, 3 seats in front of me, and a teenager wearing a punk outfit standing in the middle of the bus listening to music.

Currently the bus just stopped as another passenger comes in, an elderly woman carrying groceries. The woman made her way to the empty seat behind the bus driver before taking out a book and reading peacefully. The bus then continued its journey toward the city. We were in the country side and it's a 3, hour journey towards the city or more if the bus doesn't stop to pick up passengers.

Why am I here you ask? Ask the guy writing this.

Long story short; I was in the woods, don't ask why, trying to find someone, when it started getting dark. Not wanting to stay there at night, I went to the bus stop and waited, and now we're here. Who's the person I was looking for? He'll be revealed later.

Many hours pass by, and the buss gradually started gaining more passengers.

I still remained seated at the back, watching as the sky went from warm orange to dark blue. The country side landscape soon turn to a more forested landscape as the bus continues to make its journey.

Since we won't be at the main action scene yet, why don't we talk about this concept that my creator made up.

...

Do I really have to? Why can't you just write a chapter explaining this ability, instead of putting it as an exposition in a story with me explaining it?

...

That's a lame excuse. OW! Mother-Alright, fine!

So, lets start; any of you out there read self-insert fanfictions-of course you do. So, let's say your somehow gain the ability to travel through dimensions, but you don't exist in that world, making the people, or in some cases, divine beings suspicious of your presence in that world.

... I feel like an advertiser for a game that no one would even buy. Moving on.

Now what do I mean; don't exist in that world? I mean obviously, you didn't originate from that world, so the inhabitants of that dimension would be either curios or suspicious of you.

"ALL YOUR VALUABLES IN THE BAG, NOW!"

Finally! I-I mean, aw, looks like we'll have to cut this short, so sad. Anyway!

A group of men wearing clown and animal mask's, boarded the bus. Looking outside we were inside a tunnel. The men in mask then started going to each row, threatening each of the passengers with their weapons, which were knives, bats, and one gun being held by a guy wearing a pig mask, who had the bus driver a gun point.

The passengers with shaking hands, fearfully and reluctantly toss their valuable possessions into the large black duffle bag. I tried checking my phone, but saw there was no service and the phone was lagging for some reason... Oh. smart bastards.

Thug: "HEY, YOU, WHAT'D YOU THINK YOURE DOING?!" demanded a man wearing a clown mask walking towards me with a large knife. "Hand me your phone." He ordered getting closer to where I was sitting, the passengers watch with fear as they saw the scene happening. "Nice try, but our tech guy made sure you won't be able to call for help." he said before snatching my phone away. Knew it.

Thug: "Now, hand over whatever you have of value in you!" he ordered as he pointed the knife at my neck.

Now remember when I said about Integration? Oh right, I didn't. Well, you'll find out in the next chapter.

Just before the guy pointed the knife at me, I thought of gaining batman's martial arts abilities. Currently my brain is being altered to the new knowledge and information that was force upon it, and my body is slowly and painfully changing to adapt to the fighting styles that I just "learned". Naturally, it would take a long time for someone to learn those arts, but with this ability, you can do so in a second, minute, hour or a day. Imagine one of those reincarnated as a gamer, stories, where the character instantaneously gained all the knowledge and skills of the characters they want.

Thug: "Hey, did you hear me? I said hand over your valuables!"

Let's test it out, shall we?

???: "INCOMING!!!"

BOOM!

The bus was suddenly hit by a fast, moving object hitting the front of the bus, causing a small explosion as the bus skidded backwards. The impact caused the people inside to be jerked off of their seats and fall on the floor, while the bus diver and the man holding him at gunpoint were launch backwards.

Thug: "The hell was that?!"

The smoke cleared as figure stumbled to the side of the bus revealing themselves to be young man with ash gray hair wearing a black hoodie with red sleeves, rubbing their head while groaning.

Yami: "I think I took a wrong turn..." he groaned as he looked around before his eyes landed on the bus he just destroyed.

Ah, I was wondering when he was going to show up.

Yami: "Hey! Uh, sorry about the damage and all, but can you guys point me to the direction of... what's it called again?" he snaps his fingers. "Ah, yeah! Do you guys know where the Red Grove Forest is? I kinda left my brother there by accident." He spoke as he scratched his head sheepishly.

Meet Yami, my brother, the bane of my existence, the caused of my stress, headache, and frustration, and the person I was looking for in the forest earlier. Fucker saw a weird floating eyeball and chase after it before I lost sight of him.

His eyes then scan the inside of the bus until they stopped when our gaze met.

Yami: "Dagger! There you are!" spoke the ash haired boy as he stepped into the vehicle but was stopped by a gun pointed at him.

Gun-man: "I don't know what you just did, but you better-"

Yami: "Sorry, but we don't have enough time for this, and the author is running out of ideas so I'm just gonna SCENE BREAK!"

***_Scene change_***

Police and ambulance sirens can be heard outside of the road tunnel where a robbery took place 5 hours ago.

When passengers were asked to explain what happen, they all say the same thing; "They weren't humans..."

When asked who were "they", they were referring to, they all describe the same teenage boys with brown and gray hair wearing black hoodies.

Investigator couldn't find a trace of the individuals, except for the 7 mutilated bodies of the robbers that the teenage boys, allegedly, killed.
