Michael's P.O.V

I sat waiting to find out how the judges pleaded me. Yes, I'm in a court room. If only didn't break into the school! It was only for a laugh an I didn't think it would get this serious. The tall doors open telling me it was time. Slowly I entered, nodding towards my mother who had a small sympathetic smile.

The judge started to speak, "Michael Clifford, as you know breaking and entering is a serious offence. You caused a lot of damage to your school, so in light of these occurrences we find you guilty."

A frown took over my face, until the judge begins again, "However, since you are under 18, we can not send you to prison for the recommended time. instead you will do community service at a hospital." I looked at him unable to move. "Case dismissed everyone."

(2 WEEKS LATER)

Today was the day I start my community service at the hospital. I knew this was going to suck. I walked to my bathroom, turning on the shower and letting the warm water run against my body. I changed into my clothes: black skinny jeans with a rip in one knee; a white t-shirt with a flannel on top and my black combat boots.

I made the journey an finally reached the hospital. Looking up to the sign above the entrance, "London Mental Hospital." What had I gotten myself into? The older woman at the desk told me, " You'll be working with a young girl in your time her." She paused before adding, "She's about your age."

We walked down a long corridor and stopped at a door to the bottom left. The woman turned to face me, "Behind this door is a girl called Kay Hemmings." She told me, "She was brought here two weeks ago by her brother. You are going to be her carer, her friend, someone she can talk to." I nod my head in a greenest to everything she was telling me.
She opened the door slightly and reviewed a girl with her back to us on the bed, "Kay, you have a visitor."
