Brother Comes A Calling

If ever asked, Soren Mikaelson could say he only had two brothers he was close to: Finn and Klaus, but Klaus was someone he was currently simmering in rage at, so he wasn't Soren's favorite brother at the moment. 

"I am not going to ask how you got my number, Niklaus, I am just going to ask why you think I would help you? After what you've done?" Soren asked as he sipped his margarita and he could hear his baby brother's smug voice filter through. 

"Even if I made you a deal?" Klaus asked and Soren hummed at that. He was fond of making deals, he did own three casinos and a nightclub in LA. 

"What kind of deal?" He asked and Klaus smirked on the other end, Soren's love of deals was well known around the supernatural world.  

"You come assist me with the ritual and making hybrids then I give you our big brother. Sound good?" Klaus asked and Soren swallowed his drink quickly at that. Finn's freedom was not something Soren would take lightly, Finn was his favorite brother, his defender and teacher. 

"When do you plan on doing this ritual, how, and where? I thought you and darling baby brother Elijah wiped out the Petrova line 500 years ago. Foolish decision that was, I told you that then." Soren said, standing up and stretching. 

"Well, apparently Katerina gave birth to an illegitimate daughter and being cast out for that is how she temporarily ended up in our grasp." Klaus explained and Soren nodded his head in realization. 

"They gave the baby away and the line continued from there? You got lucky, Niklaus, what if she hadn't had that child?" He asked and Klaus sighed. 

"Spare me your lecture, brother, I already know that I wouldn't be able to do it, but now I can. Even if you don't help me for Finn, will you at least help me to flip our mother the bird or spite Elijah who is no longer on my side?" Klaus asked and Soren stopped at that, malicious glee in his eyes at the thought of firing back at his mother and spiting his younger brother. 

"I'll do it, I help you with the ritual and the hybrids and I get Finn back, in addition to giving our bitch of a mother the bird and spiting Elijah." Soren agreed and Klaus let out a sigh of relief. 

"Thank you, Ren, I can't imagine doing this without you." He admitted and Soren fought the smile that spread across his face. Him and Klaus had always been the odd two out; Soren hated by his mother for being a Siphoner as a human and Klaus hated by Mikael for Esther's affair and treachery, so they had been close as humans and vampires.

Klaus was the only one besides Finn who knew that Soren had managed to tap into his magic after becoming a vampire. Finn had always been a point of contention between Soren and Klaus, but Soren would never have sold Klaus out to their enemy. 

"It's not a problem, Nik, we get this done and maybe I'll be able to convince Finn to stick around after he's free." He said and Klaus smiled. 

"Meet me in Mystic Falls, Virginia, our little doppelgänger resides there." He said before they both said their goodbyes and hung up. 

Soren made his way over to the woman he had picked out for the evening and compelled her to forget about him before walking towards his beach house, he had packing to do.

So this is a really short chapter as it mainly focuses on Klaus getting Soren to come to Mystic Falls, this takes place in between The House Guest and Know Thy Enemy in season 2 of TVD. 

Soren is my first attempt at a male OC so if you guys have any suggestions for how to do his character, I'm open to them. I do want to keep his feud with Elijah and bonds with Klaus and Finn. 

Throw me out some suggestions for love interests in the comments. At the moment, I'm torn between Jenna and Bonnie for this as Jenna would be fun to keep in canon and she's closer to Soren's age and would keep him on his toes. Though, Bonnie needs some love as she's ended up one of the secondary antagonists in my books quite a bit. I also want her to be selfish for once and pick herself over Elena and I think Soren could help her do that. 

Now, I know some might point out that Kol will bring up Soren's magic later, but that's after he finds out about it. Soren doesn't trust his siblings that much, especially Elijah, so none of them know about Soren's powers except Finn and Klaus.
