Days passed and the only one thing I was thinking was the race. I just want to feel it again. Or I want to see him again. I like him but of course in a friendly way(I guess). I want to support him so I decided to buy access to F1TV. Next Formula 2 race is in Australia. Definitely too far and I have many sessions here in Pula.
Today it's race day. I texted Zane that I wish him good luck. He texted me back and thanked. He's starting fifth so I hope he'll end one the podium. I was watching the race and I don't know why but I felt really nervous and stressed. I saw one of the cars with Red Bull livery spun and hit the wall. Firstly I thought it was Zane. I started panicking but then I noticed that he was still racing. Oh that was really stressful moment. Race ended and Zane didn't end on the podium. He was fifth.
Zane's POV
It's time to race! This time in Australia. I'm feeling super excited I like this track. I texted Eleonora that I'm in Australia and I'm going to free practice. She didn't respond so I guess she was busy or something. I jumped into my car. I ended P8. Not bad but I need to push harder during qualifying. After free practice I took my phone to see if Eleonora texted me back. But she didn't. That's weird. But I texted her if everything is okay. After 30 minutes she finally texted me back. She couldn't text me back because she was on the photoshoot. She wished me good luck for the qualifying.
Qualifying was very good. Car was also feeling good. I ended P5. Really good result. After that I went back to hotel and called Eleonora to tell her about my day. We were talking about 40 minutes. 'Hey it's late you should go sleep' she said. I agreed and said goodbye to her.
Next day was sprint race and I think it was quite good. I also finished P5. It was quite boring day. Nothing special happened.
And finally race day. I woke up with a message from Eleonora. She wished me good luck. I thanked her. I started warming up. Okay now I'm ready for the race. I jumped into the car. I've done formation lap and now I was waiting for the lights out. Lights went out and we started. I had a good start but I didn't gain any position and I didn't lost. It was lap 20 and one of the cars crashed. It meant that safety car came on track. We decided to pit. Pit was super fast so I came back in 5th position. After 8 laps with safety car we came back to racing again. I had a big problem. I couldn't go faster and many cars wanted to pass me. Final lap. That was really stressful for me. I made some contact while I was trying to safe my position. But I did it. I came in P5. That was crazy race.
