Matt hears his phone ring bright and early to see it's a call from Kat.
Kat: Happy bday dad,
Matt: Thank you
Kat: I'm sorry I won't be able to make it to Ohio. I'm slammed with 5 tests in one week, Try not to ask me how I got so many when I got 2 classes.
Matt: Aww man my first bday without you that stinks, what time is it over there kat??
Kat: 8 in the morning
Matt: For us it's 7 here but either way I gotta work I can't have the day off.
Kat: Dad come on it's you're bday why you working when you can spend it with sky
Matt: I know but it's not the same without you here
Kat: I know but get used to it.
Matt: At least You we're my wake up alarm
Kat: Yeah true, I gotta run I gotta get ready and get breakfast before class
Matt: Alright honey take care of yourself and good luck make me proud
Kat: I will dad bye love ya
Matt: Love you too
And with that in mind Kat goes to eat and thinks about how she will miss Matt's bday but while eating she gets a message from Trevor landing in Ohio with Cody to surprise Matt for his bday.
