Startled, Anne sat up in her bed, recollecting her thoughts. The dream. The one nightmare that'll always lurk in her mind. It'd occurred to her more than once before. The same dream. The same horrible nightmare. 'Who is Caleb?' She thought to herself each time. Caleb, the idiot who disregarded her advice and went for it anyways. Anne shook her head. She knew none of the Caleb that haunted her dreams. The one in the nightmare. Nightmare of a boy the same age as her. Her and him somewhere unknown. There was no one in he town known as 'Caleb'. No one. Caleb... she questioned the name over and over till she was sick of it.

"Annie dear, please come downstairs" called a familiar voice from the kitchen below.

Startled, Anne turned her head at the sound before getting out of bed and descending down the stainless stairs.

"Dear, there's someone here to meet you"

"Like who?" Anne replied sternly, doing her hair by the sink, not noticing who was standing next to her mother. A hand on her shoulder. Anne jumped fearfully and looked behind her only to scream.

"What they heck?! Girl, calm dow-" he started saying before he saw her face. "It's you..." he whispered. "The girl in the dream, the nightmare"

Anne looked back at him fearfully "you were in mine too..." she whispered too, minding the look of confusement on her mother's face. "C'mon, I'll talk to you on the way to school" she said, hoisting her bag over her shoulders hastily, pulling the boy by the arm out the door.

"Now, how did you get here?" Anne asked him, braking the silence that'd been going on for ten to fifteen minutes now. The boy looked at her half concerned and fearful. "I believe you already know I'm Caleb" he said, trying to keep his voice as straight as possible with as less stammering as possible. "How I got here? I... I... don't know... one minute sleeping, the next here" he said shaking his head. "You died in my nightmares, but it was like I couldn't touch you, or wasn't able to even..." he added with a few tears streaming down his face. "You die- he started saying before Anne picked his arms up from their limp laying style at his sides. "Look" she started saying "you can tell me later but now, I really need to get to school" she said once again pulling him by the arm.

"But Anne..." he started.

Anne stared at him blankly before running, still pulling him by the arm, down the street till they were just infront of her school.

"Got any place to go?" Anne said without any effort, still holding his arm. He shook his head only for Anne to them reply by rolling her eyes annoyedly.

"Ca-" Anne was just starting to say sternly when, just at that moment, a hand was proper on her shoulder, startling her massively. This caused her to accidentally kick the person behind her. Turning around she saw who she'd just kicked was Eugene Waters, one of the nerdy boys of the school. The boy who considered Anne a friend of his. He whimpered slightly before readjusting his glasses and looking at Anne, exclaiming proudly "miss Smith, Anastasia Smith, I've come to inform you that Daniel Sandres requires your assistance. Tree Den. Immediately"

"Anne smith." She corrected crossing her arms. "I don't like the name Anastasia.

"Course." He said before peering behind her "and you are, my fine sir?"

"Caleb Youth." He answered.

Eugene examined him.

"I don't recall of your beings here before" he stated.

Noticing Eugene's expression of questioning and untrustfullness of Caleb's beings there, Anne rushed into his gaze.

"Aaaaaaanyways, shouldn't I be getting to Dan?" Anne said, changing the subject almost immediately.

With a slight frown, Eugene muttered, as if he'd forgotten before, the words "oh yes... follow my lead, Anasta-, I mean, Anne."
