Logan is in her apartment, brooding over the events of a few days prior. The vision she had witnessed still weighs heavily on her mind, and her jealousy, though temporarily pushed aside, continues to simmer beneath the surface.
As she sits alone in the dimly lit room, her phone buzzes with an incoming call. Logan picks it up, her gruff voice cutting straight to the point, "What do you want?"
Foggy Nelson's voice crackles through the line, a mixture of excitement and persuasion.
"Logan, my friend, it's time for you to get out of that apartment and join the land of the living."
Logan lets out an exasperated sigh. She knows that when Foggy is in this kind of mood, he can be relentless.
"I'm not in the mood for drinks."
Foggy, undeterred, launches into his pitch, "Come on. Karen and I are over at Josie's, and we could use some company. You've been cooped up for too long. Besides, I heard they have a new band playing tonight, and I know you love your music."
Logan's resistance begins to waver, but she's not about to admit it, "I've got other things to do. Like fixing stuff around here."
Foggy chuckles, as if he knows something she doesn't, "You can fix stuff any day of the week. Besides, you're the building's unofficial handywoman. You deserve a night off."
Logan's stubbornness flares up once more, "I'm not in the mood for crowds and small talk."
Foggy, always quick with a response, fires back, "What about loud music and strong drinks? Josie's is the perfect place to drown out the noise of the city."
Logan hesitates, torn between her desire for solitude and the camaraderie of her friends. She knows that Foggy is right; she can't spend all her time in her apartment. But her jealousy from the previous night still lingers, making her hesitant to face Karen again.
" I appreciate the offer, but I'll pass," Logan finally concedes, her voice softer than before.
Foggy's tone takes on a note of genuine concern, "Logan, you can't keep shutting yourself off from the world. We're here for you, you know."
Logan's gruff exterior falters for a moment, revealing the vulnerability beneath, "I know, Foggy. It's just... complicated right now."
Foggy's voice becomes more understanding, "I get it. But sometimes, being with friends can help ease the complications, even if just for a little while."
Logan sighs, her stubbornness giving way to a reluctant acceptance, "Fine, I'll meet you at Josie's. But if I'm not in the mood for small talk, don't push it."
Foggy sounds triumphant, "That's the spirit! We'll be waiting for you. And hey, maybe you'll even enjoy the music."
Logan ends the call and lets out a weary sigh. She knows that going out with her friends is the right thing to do, even if it means facing her own jealousy and the secrets she carries. As she gets ready to leave her apartment, she can't help but wonder how the night will unfold and if she'll find a way to balance her stubbornness with the warmth of friendship.
Logan arrives at Josie's Bar, a familiar haunt in Hell's Kitchen, with a sense of trepidation. She knows that Foggy's persuasive skills can be relentless, but she's also aware that facing Karen after the events of the previous night won't be easy.
As she steps inside, the dimly lit bar is alive with activity. The sound of laughter, clinking glasses, and the strumming of a guitar fills the air. Logan scans the room, her sharp eyes taking in the familiar faces of the regulars, the rowdy groups of friends, and the solitary patrons nursing their drinks.
