Emma was a perfect child, she always did right and was incredibly talented. Her parents were proud of her, they got her everything she wanted because they loved her so much; they wanted to see her happy. At the age of five, she wanted to attend a ballet school. And for three years she had been practicing almost every day. Sometimes it embarrassed her to practice in her room, her parents would walk in sometimes. But they always encouraged her to keep going, they were proud of her.
Emma also loves dolls, every time they went to a store, she would always want a new doll to keep around the house. And the house was full of things she liked; It was as if she was living in a perfect house just for her. The walls were indigo, her favorite color, there were drawings that she's made all over the walls, and pictures of her. She never wanted to stop living there.
"Good job class! You are done for today." The teacher announced. Emma smiled and walked towards her bag, hearing the other kids laugh and talk. Until she heard something that caught her attention, "Have you heard of those dolls that they say could speak to you?"
Emma looked around and then at two girls as they spoke.
"Oh! I have one of them, they don't really speak to you sadly. But it would be splendid if they did!"
"Aw...I was about to ask my mom to buy one for me."
Dolls that can talk to you? That's weird, Emma thought to herself and stood up, walking out of the classroom. She looks around with a smile on her face, thinking of what to do today. Should she go out to the store or play with her dolls? What should she eat today? Casseroles or a piece of pie?
She arrived at her house and knocked on the door. The door opens and her mother looks at her with a smile on her face, "Welcome back! Our little girl." She said, opening the door wider. "Oh! Look who got back from dance!" Her father said, standing up from the couch and walking towards her to pick her up. Emma laughed as he spun her around, "Stop dad! You're going to make me dizzy!" Her father put her down and laughed, "Oh please, you're a dancer, you can't get dizzy so easily."
Emma's mother kissed her forehead, "I made a pie for you sweetie. I thought you might have liked to eat it today." she said softly. Emma's eyes began to shine, "I was just thinking about eating a pie! Thanks mom!" She then ran to the kitchen. "Anything for you" The mother smiled.
The pie was on the table and the plates were set up, everything looked so tasty she couldn't wait to begin eating. So, she sat down and kicked her feet in excitement. Her parents walked to the kitchen and sat down with her. Her mother picked up a knife and began to cut three pieces, "So, how is dance going?" They looked at Emma. "It's going amazing! My teacher said I was doing perfectly again! We are also working on a dance for a recital next month. I'm so excited!" she said, kicking her feet and beginning to eat her piece of the pie. And so did her parents.
"That's great! You better work hard for it" Her father said, pointing the fork at her and laughing. "I will!" Emma then ate another bit of the pie. "Can we go to the store today?" She looked at her mother. Her mother smiled and nodded, "Of course we can! After all, we need more food in the house" She then stood up. "I'll go get ready" She picked up her plate and placed it on the counter. "I will go too; we'll tell you when we're ready okay?" Her father stood up and both of her parents walked to their room.
Emma nodded and finished her piece of the pie. She smiles and runs to her room to get ready in excitement. She puts on her favorite indigo dress, and looked at herself in her mirror, putting accessories on her hair.
"We're ready!" She heard her father say. Her smile widened, and she rushed out of her room. "I'm here!"
They went to a big store, so big that she could get lost there if she walked away from her parents; she was holding the urge to do so to look around the place and see what she could get for herself. "So, where do you want to go--" Her mother asked, and Emma ran away before she finished her sentence. "HEY! WAIT FOR US!!!" Her father said, running after her.
