ASK carving pumpkins with dominic ( anonymous )

"hey are you almost done with that spoon?" you ask, looking up from your pumpkin. your struggling to get the guts out with your small plastic scooper, and think dominics would help.

of course, he had to have the biggest pumpkin in the patch, so the table is covered in newspapers and seeds. the orange substances seeping into the older paper. threatening to drip onto your dining table.

his eyes are furrowed as he concentrates on the pumpkin. "uh," he mumbles, ripping a good chunk of the seeds out, trailing off his words and forgetting to respond.

you giggle lightly. "dom?"

he looks up from the pumpkin, meeting your eyes from across the table. "yes?"

"can i borrow your spoon?" you smile, pointing at his orange stained hands. "this scoop thing-y isn't very helpful."

with a slight nod, he hums. "yeah just a second."

you go back down to your pumpkin. wiping your hands off on a rag, and pulling out your phone to try and find an idea for how your going to carve the giant vegetable. once you find your reference, you look back up to dominic. whom still scrapes at the inside of the pumpkin.

"dom," you trail. "you done?

he narrows his eyes at you, picking up a handful of pumpkin guts and playfully threatening to toss them at you. "be patient." he smiles.

"don't threaten me," you giggle, picking up a few seeds and chucking them at dominic.

a loud, dramatic gasp escapes his lips as he throws what was in his hand at you. hitting you right on the shoulder.

you laugh, picking up more seeds and throwing them, splatting on his face.

"oh its on!" he teases, throwing more at you.

basically melting into a fit of laughter, you smile at him, "okay okay!" your words are breathy as you try to refill your lungs with air. "i won't ask again!"

with a playful grin he hands you the spoon. "here, you can have it love." he laughs, leaning over the table to wipe off the seeds from your shoulder. pressing a gentle kiss to your lips before sitting back down.
