ENLISTMENT

OBITO'S POV

As I lay in my bed I receive a text from Rumi reading 'Hey Obi, it's weird not seeing you in class' I then text back 'heh, I bet I'm now trying to find something to do besides lay here in my bed' she then texts back 'I wish I could help but your training has come in handy and I thank you' I smile and text back 'Glad to hear, gtg ttyl' I then sit up and said to myself "I really need to do something", I then turn on my TV and an ad about joining the military plays I then said "That's it" I get up and go to the recruiting office and said "Hi yeah I'd like to join" the officer then said "How old are you" I then said "I'm 17 sir, I'm not in school anymore" the officer then said "And why is that boy" I then said "Well the principle was bias and only listened to one side of a story and made the chose to expel me, and it was my side of the story and the other person said no they didn't" the officer then said "What where your parents reaction "Sir, I live on my own, and have been since I was 13, and I want to serve" he nods and said "Go over there and fill this out and when your done give it to the kind woman over there" I nod and take the clipboard and fill everything out and give it to the woman and she then said "We'll contact you for your physical to see what camp you'd go to in a day or two so head home and spend time with friends or someone because welcome to the Japanese Army" I nod and leave the office and head to the park and text Rumi 'Hey, Rumi meet me at the park' some time passed 'Okay, whats up' I then responded 'I will tell you when you get here'.

AT THE PARK/RUMI'S POV

As I reach the park Obito walks over to me and hugs me and said "Hey uh Rumi" I was shocked by him hugging me and I hug back "Whats wrong Obi" he takes a deep breath and says "Well I enlisted into the Army and I'm technically I'm apart of it but I have a physical to take and one of the officers said to spend time with friends or family" I then said "Obito, you know I'm glad you decided to text me, because I have something to tell you" he looks at me and says "I miss you so much I just want to" I stop myself and he said "What do you want Rumi, go on tell me" I kiss his cheek and say "I want you to stay with me Obi" he smiles and holds me close "I won't die because you're the reason I continue on" I was then caught by surprise "Wait what" he then said "If we didn't talk when I got expelled I might've ended myself" I look at him with tears in my eyes and say "Obi... How can you be so sure you won't die" he smiles and replies "Because I know what I'm fighting for".

BACK AT HOME/OBITO'S POV 

As I look at the ruins that was once my home I smile and say "Heh, was wondering when they where going to do this" I was the approached by one of the demo men and he said "Hey, civilians aren't aloud in a construction area" I then said "Ah sorry, it's just earlier today I woke up in this building" the man then said "What are you talking about, no ones lived here for 4 years" I then said "Legally no one has but when my mom was killed and my dad killed himself within these very walls 4 years ago they removed my family from the active residents list" the man then said "huh" I shake my head and said "never mind" as I walk away I receive a call from the recruitment office saying what camp I will end up at.
