From that day forward, they still continue to claim to hate each other, though their actions say otherwise. With William's medical assistance and Yasmines thankful gifts of her own creation, their relationship just kept growing stronger as time went by. Even Nate was skeptical of their relationship, and it got to the point where he almost didn't believe William anymore whenever he claimed that they were still "enemies". However, there was still a part of him that did.

A year later...

It was finally the month of December. Snowflakes falling to the ground everywhere, and the cold, crisp air gently stinging the cheeks and noses of anyone who walked outside. With all the excited kids playing around in the snow at the park, there were Christmas lights hanging everywhere, including the streets. Trees, houses, street poles and even supermarkets were lit up with colorful flights and Christmas decorations, which really set the perfect mood for the whole town. It was lovely.

Winter break was finally here. The children were finally free from school and homework, and they could play as much as they wanted without any worries. Yasmine, as always, played outside with her friends in the park.

All of the children laughed and played and threw snowballs at each other, but Yasmine seemed different that day...

She was sitting on a bench, looking down at her feet as she slightly swung them back and forth with her gloved hands on the bench. She had forgotten her scarf, so her nose and cheeks were red from the cold air. And her thick jacket wasn't helping much.

She had already been asked why she was just sitting there instead of playing along with the others, but she always gave them the same reply; "I'm fine, I just want to sit down for a while..."

Nate and William were also playing, but they played alone with each other. They thought that everyone else was playing too softly in snowball fights, so they wanted to use their strength on each other instead. Both of them didn't mind, of course.

After a while of playful snowfall fights, a girl starts to speak up to the rest of the kids.

"Hey, guys! Why don't we get something from the convenience store? We can get some hot chocolate!"

Everyone agreed happily and Yasmine overheard the conversation. She then gets off the bench and raises her hands as she walks towards them with a smile on her face.

"Can I also go? I really want some hot chocolate right now."

They all agreed and her friends gently dragged her hands and they all ran together towards the convenience store nearby.

They entered, and went directly to the cashier and stood in line as each one of them ordered a cup of hot chocolate. Yasmine stood at the back of the line along with a few others and she spoke excitedly with her friends.

"I can smell the scent of chocolate from here already!" A girl said.

"Mhm, I can't wait!" Another girl continued.

Yasmine just smiled in return and stuffed her hands in her pockets to prepare herself for checkout. At that moment, her face that was once smiling dropped down to a look of worry and confusion. The pockets were empty. She forgot her change at home!

"Uh..." She muttered aloud. The other girls paused and looked at her.

"What's wrong?" A blonde girl asked worryingly.

"I forgot my money at home..." Yasmine answered with a disappointed tone.

The other girls whined in remorse, to which one of them asked;

"Does that mean you're not getting a hot chocolate with us?"

Yasmine nodded softly and she groaned in annoyance. She hated forgetting stuff, it was one of her biggest worries.
