M/N: ngl, this chapter was originally meant to be like part 1 before the exam but.. I guess I ended up overdoing too much while I was reviewing the chapter and it turned into a Blaze character focused chapter instead 😅 can't complain tho, it kinda turned out great imo.
Blaze PoV
'Ugh last night suck ass… I ended up staying up all the up till 5 am and barely memorized like 3% of what I needed to remember?... I still have zero fucking idea on how on earth Neru even managed to remember all that???! Also, her ‘notes’ looked like a freaking textbook! All the while managing her own line of work in the mafia.. Welp, time for plan B. Operation cheating.'
I went down the hallways, filled with students as usual and decorated with lockers. I entered into the room where Neru's lecture hall is going to take place and walked up to her
"Yo Neru! What's up?"
As if she saw right through me, she just asked with an annoyed expression
"What do you want? Spit it out"
'Oof.. she's sharp.. that's an assassin for ya..'
"Uh so about the upcoming exam.. uh think you could help me cheat on it?"
Neru merely raised an eyebrow at my question and flatly replied
"No"
"Wait wait, neru pleaseeee? I seriously need to pass this one otherwise I'm gonna get extra classes!"
"That's a you problem. Not mine"
"Bu-"
"Which part of the word 'No' you don't understand?"
"Neru please? Please help me cheat? It should be easy for you right?!"
Ignored.
"C'mon. It'll just be this once. Please Neru?"
Ignored again.
"Ne-"
"Okay fine. Now shut up and listen"
I immediately perked up at Neru's response
"So what's the plan?"
"The plan is, I hand signal to you whether it's A,B, C or D during the objective exam. It's your job to catch my signal. If you don't see it, your loss"
Neru said as she crossed her arms and spoke in a way that leaves no room for argument. It’s essentially her silent way of saying ‘take it or leave it’
I visibly slouched at her proposal but left with no other choice, I decided to just go along with it since it would be useless to argue anyways. I then ask Neru:
"Wait wait, then what about the writing part?"
"You don't know any patience do you? I was about to get to that part. Anyways, the writing exam only starts at 2 till 4pm. So basically, come to the bathroom at 3:30 pm. I'll give you all the answers there. The rest copying it down on your paper within 30 minutes should be no problem."
"30 minutes… seriously..? That's no joke.. whatever. Thanks Neru!"
By then Neru was already out of the lecture hall, leaving only me alone. I then mumble to myself as I start to make my way home
“Damn that Neru.. she doesn’t even seem to have patience.. Oh! I gotta boast about this to my sidekicks!”
Blaze quickly takes out her phone and texted to her school 'friends'.
Blaze: Hey guys! Guess what, I managed to get that girl to help me cheat in exam!
Ben: yoo Nice! How’d you did it?!
Twin bro 1: Fr? Think you could also get us clued it?
Twin bro 2: Ya ya! Get us clued in on the answers too!
Blaze: ooi, chil guys! I can’t really do that y’know, since I get like only 30 minutes to copy her answers after she’s done.
Dane: Damn, 30 minutes? Gl man.
