Chelle's POV:
Shane and I's relationship was going pretty good, we were both busy building our businesses and hardly had any arguments, and when we did argue is was mainly because we hadn't spent a lot of time together before I knew it and two years had passed. I had noticed over the past few months that Shane was acting strangely, but thought nothing of it. I actually just chalked it up as us still not spending as much time together like other married couples did.
When I say we didn't like other married couples did, what I meant was while he ran his business I was involved in running my businesses, along with my family businesses. By the time I found time to plan something for us to do together, Shane always said he was busy or was to tired.
This went on for a while before I decided to ask him how everything was going with him and his business. As expected his answer was the same.
Everything is fine.
Nothing to worry about.
It's just a business deal I'm trying to close.
We'll take a trip after everything gets settled.
I only sighed and nodded my head. It was like a broken record stuck on repeat, he just kept pressing play.
The only time we made sure we had time for was when our parents visited or for a celebration like holidays or birthdays, other than that it was we'll spend time together soon.
After getting the same answer from Shane for the millionth time I decided to surprise him at work. Note I only decided to surprise him at work after Sara and I talked and she explained to me that the way Shane is acting, he is either cheating on me or he is actually just overwhelmed with work.
At first I didn't believe that Shane would cheat on me especially after the prenup we had signed, but like Sara said, something wasn't adding up with Shane and I needed to find out.
So here I am at his business, a place I vowed never to visit because I chose not to be one of those wives that stuck their neck in others businesses even though it is my husband's business. I wanted an open and honest relationship, but here I am to surprise my husband.
I walked into the lobby and noticed that the receptionist wasn't at her or his position. (Not she if he has female or male receptionists.) I checked my watch and the time showed only eight in the morning, which means they should be at the desk, but instead of harping on my unanswered question, I pushed the question aside and began walking towards the elevators. I was thinking maybe they either are running late, getting them selves coffee or is using the restroom.
Walking passed the desk I took the elevator to Shane's floor and noticed that his receptionist is also not at her/his desk, I sighed, wondering why non of the employees are where they are supposed to be. Sighing once again I continued to walk to Shane's office.
As soon as made it to Shane's office I suddenly got a bad feeling, not bad as in something happened to him, but bad as in he was with someone and in fact he was cheating on me, but I pushed the unwanted thoughts aside and quietly opened, his office door without knocking, well actually I just cracked open his door not fully opening it. I wasn't sure what I would find and because I felt uneasy I didn't want to actually catch him with anyone.
Cracking the door, I heard moaning and grunting coming from his office. Sure enough my husband was in fact cheating on me, the kicker though he wasn't cheating on me with either one of his missing receptionists, he was cheating on me with his ex girlfriend from college. The one that broke up with him the very beginning of our college days.
I was hurt.
I was heartbroken.
I was angry.
I was pi$$ed.
I wanted to yell at him.
I wanted to yell at her.
But I calmed myself down and quietly closed his office door and decided to call him.
After a few rings he answered his phone, breathing heavily. I fend innocent and asked why he was breathing heavily? I asked if he had gotten hurt? I asked if he needed me to call an ambulance for him? His answer was he left his phone in the office and ran back for it and tried to answer it before it went to voicemail, because I was the one calling him. I told him that it was okay, I didn't call for anything important except to tell him I was down in his lobby. I can hear the panic in his voice and before he hung up the call I overheard him tell his mistress that she needed to leave immediately out the side because his wife was down in the lobby. I overheard them tell each other that they love each other and that they will continue what they were doing later tonight.
I watched as my husband ushered his mistress out of his office and rushed towards the elevators, most likely going to the lobby. I silently cried and called Sara.
After about ten minutes I got a call from Shane, while I was still explaining everything to Sara, asking me where I was and I told him that I got a call from Sara so I left the lobby to take her call. I heard him cuss under his breath before he hung up.
Sara and I started to discuss about what my next step is.
I know I will definitely be divorcing him and quickly, but I want him and his so called ex girlfriend to suffer for the bullsh!t they had been putting me through.
Unfortunately for that ex girlfriend that is sleeping with my husband works at one of my families businesses, so not only had they fooled me but Shane has an excuse to meet up with her all the time using work as an excuse.
I felt disgusted.
I wanted to wash my body harshly, scrubbing his betrayal from my skin.
